There are many reasons why I do not like BHO as a person or a President. I think we do need to get one thing straight. We all have to hope this guy pulls us through this mess that we are in. People will continue to criticize him for his policies, which many I do not agree with (spending and the forecasted deficit which will be a result of the spending and will be a reality in the future to name one). If Geithners plan fails and the country goes bankrupt because of a failed housing market , credit drought, bank failures and the possible inability to "half the deficit" then BHO will be the only one to blame. I am up for giving it some time to play out and hope it works.

Creeper00... you have no idea what a filibuster IS, do you? It's not likely that President Obama would promise to filibuster something, considering that a filibuster is something done by the Senate minority. It involves a Senate minority of less than 2/5ths blocking passage of legislation by keeping it locked in perpetual debate (or the threat of perpetual debate.) That's why 60 seats is referred to as a "filibuster proof majority." By claiming that President Obama vowed to "filibuster" ANYTHING, you show that you have no idea what you're talking about. How can we believe you, if you say something about filibuster and don't even know what it is?

skyk-2009 - Oh really? And what promises are those? Oh you must mean the 1 .4 trillion dollare deficit per year for the next 10.
He already back pedaled on numerous promsies including pulling out of Iraq when is said he would. He hasn't done one thing he promised you idiot.

He hasn't been able to keep his campaign promises and he's been the president for a whole 62 days. He is obviously making significant strides or we wouldn't be hearing the incessant whining coming from the right. I for one am enjoying the epidemic of ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome) and am looking forward to laughing at your pain and angst over the next four years.

Oh, really? You mean that campaign promise to vote against FISA? Ooops, no, you must mean the one to filibuster any legislation that gives immunity to telecoms for wiretapping. Sorry, that one was wrong too. How about those promises to eliminate earmarks and keep lobbyists out of his administration? I guess those are a no-go also.

Obama can't even keep a promise to his girls. That dog he's been talking about for weeks has yet to materialize. A cynical person would wonder if he were just using it for publicity.

skyk, your head is so far up and locked you probably think Obama actually signed legislation including federal funding for stem cell research. Surprise! There's no money in his budget for stem cell research. What that legislation did was make it okay for Obama to do that if he wanted to. He didn't.

Health care? No action unless you include that insane proposal to force veterans' private insurers to pay for treatment of injuries incurred in the line of duty.

Taxes? They're still working on that. So far Bush's tax cuts for the rich are intact.

The St. Petersburg Times has a website that tracks five hundred of Barack Obama's campaign promises. So far he's kept twenty of them. See for yourself:

Does reality ever intrude with you obots?

"most Americans do not think there was much the Obama administration could have done about the bonuses."

Well, of course not. Once he'd signed them into law he was pretty much committed.

Does anyone else understand that these bonuses were included in a bill signed by the president? Why isn't Obama's approval rating on AIG bonuses exactly zero? He and his lap dogs in Congress, with the help of TurboTaxTim, wrote those bonuses into that legislation. Everyone who voted "yes" on it ought to be hanging their head in shame and Obama ought to be embarrassed as h*ll for having put his signature on it.
