None of that will buy you a loaf of bread without a solid economy. But you already knew that, right?

Look the real problem isn''t being addressed here. That''s the unions. They blackmailed the big three into contracts that brought about this issue. Nobody should get a dime until there is some assurance that the Unions aren''t going to get most of it. Do you know of anybody else that can get 95% of what they made when working? The big three need to declare bankruptcy to bust this group of vipers and regain control of their own businesses. Until then we are doing nothing but throwing money into a hole in the ground.

Because "government" isn''''''''t a "sector of employment".
"Services" is.
"Health Care" is.
"Manufacturing" is.
"Government" IS NOT.

The hallmark of "conservatism" is ignorance.
Ignorance prevents learning / education.

What polls?

Question: How many of you have ever been asked, on the street, about a matter of real importance?

Personally, I say no bailouts for anyone but if we are gonna sink the economy saving the banks, why not the car makers too?

Secondly, I''d love to fire every single member of congress who voted for the bank bailout and then, wrung their hands like a trustee of public good to deny the auto industry. That isn''t just hypocritical, that is lying.

Prisons dont make munitions. We have one major plant and the rest is contracted out to private industry.

Your the guy that thinks anyone who makes anything for the military is a loser right?
Posted by hillaryin016 at 11:41 AM :

When you say "Your the guy" do you really mean "You''re the guy"? And no, I don''t think anyone who makes anything for the military is a loser. I have a brother that works for a military contractor. I also have a brother-in-law that works for a prison and most of your (or you''re if you prefer) comments are way off base....

People with any Intelligence or can think--

Believe that bankruptcy for U.S. automakers would have a Most Devastating impact on the economy. The Republicans want to distroy unions and anything that has to do with we the people. All they care about is money and to hell with the country and us.

Funny you should mention that. There is a prison in Delaware making the balistc glass for the MRAP now. You know, Joe Biden was very instrumental in getting the MRAP to the troops.
Posted by hillaryin016 at 11:35 AM

So which prison is responsible for supplying munitions? I bet those prison guards are on edge all the time....

Well lib, I don''''''''t know what a "militaty" is. But yesterday, your fellow self-reliant poster wrote that anyone relying on the government is a loser.

So if your stamping out washers for spare parts on a military contract your a loser? are you for real?

Yes. Instead of taking government handouts, you should be earning your living, like working as a greenskeeper at a golf course.

Your kidding right? Prisions have been making stuff for the military for years just like licence plates and other stuff for states. Its all paid for by tax-payer money of course.

So what equipment manufactured for the military isn''t bought with tax-payer money.

Our manufacured oil shortage may be coming to an end. The Bakken oil field in N Dakota is thought to contain 200 billion barrels of oil production, almost as large as the Saudi Oil fields total. New drilling techniques have made the once inaccessible oil available.
Drilling was taking place under the political and environmental nut-job radar because it isn''t on protected lands. Take your battery powered cars and shove them Biiiiiiiiiig Al Gore:-)))))

McCain got what he deserved lib. He cooperated with the Socialist and he lost the election just like the rest of them. Now its up to Obama to bring the Conservatives back to power just like Clinton did.

Posted by hillaryin016 at 11:21 AM : Dec 09, 2008

LOL!! So the best candidate the republicans had to offer was too liberal and that''s why he lost? LOL!! Sure doesn''t say much for the Geriatric Oil Party....

It''''s non union, a captive workforce, no strikes, no overpaid managers, no pension funds, doesn''''t need a bailout. Not subject to regulation by Dodd or Frank but both of them should be working there.
Got a lot going for it wouldn''''t you say?
