Funny thing here is that the larger media and Obama himself were tearing Palin down for lack of experience. She came out last night, laid her claim for the VP spot on the table and contrasted her experience with Obama''s.
Turns out that she is more qualified for the VP position than Obama is...but he is running for President. Let''s see the media wrap their brains around that one...

I thought her schrill and mocking tone towards Obama and Joe Biden was totally uncalled for.....who is she to mock experience? Some people have helped forclosed families in struggling areas with Community Service....and yes,Sarah, it does take RESPONSIBILITY! How dare you suggest that this type of work is less than running a town of 7,000 people?

Never underestimate your opponent (especially when you are in a hall of Kool Aid drinking neocons)....the truth will come out eventually....and I can only hope middle America wakes up...and does not vote in another George Bush bash on the middle classe with McCain and this Palin woman. I''m a woman and I found her arrogant and offensive. Wrong choice for America - and definitely wrong choice for me!

The only thing I learned from her speech is that she''s pretty good at delivering one-liners - if she has a sympathetic audience.

She wanted Alaska to leave America, she is against the constitution and thinks it need some good ole fashion descrimination written in. No contraception? Maybe if you live out in the woods it''s not a big deal if Americans in towns, cities have overloaded populations, schools and large populations who are underpriveldged. She is a Bridge to no where. Cute, be she does not understand the very concept of freedom.

Sarah, why did you let that fat, unemployed pig bang your kid?

You were never home, Sarah? Were you too much a big-wig? You were chasing your own power trip, and didn''t notice who was *** your kid?

BAD MOMMA! Stay home! Take care of your own kids before you presume to tell the rest of us how we should take care of ours!

Sarah, you say Govmint should stay out of our business - but Sarah, you want to stick your religious nose in OUR business! What gives with that paradox, Sarah? We can''t talk about your family, but you can dictate to us about ours? BAD grrl, Sarah! Unfair!, just like Bush and just like McSame.

We just can''t trust you to be honest anymore Sarah.

Sarah, you are two-faced!

Sarah Palin is just as "mentally challenged" (read: R*e*r*a*r*d*e*d) as her daughter''s son "Trig" is.

It just runs in the [female] family genes.

If she is not a threat to you and your ilk....then why the fussbudget dash to sling smack? To me you guys are showing your abject fear. If she''s nothing then won''t America and the world know that? Won''t her lies and McCain''s lies find themselves out?

She isn''t a threat to a growing number of people. She''s just what the conservatives needed to take back the White House. You must vilify and naysay because you know she has wisdom on her side, and obviously, you guys fight wisdom. You can only fight what you can see. And because you can reason it (wisdom) you don''t want anyone else to see and reason.

The McCain campaign is trying so hard to show that Palin is experienced! I smell some comedic gold mines. (I am no comic, but here''s my humble efforts):

1. Palin is so experienced, she can turn water into wine (Chateau Latour - McCain does not drink the cheap stuff)

2. Palin is so experienced, she can walk on water. That''s how she traveled from Alaska to the mainland.

3. Palin is so experienced, she always knows where Waldo is (but no so much about others).

Anyone else would like to take a crack, please?

I don''t take seriously any CBS poll, since they have a dog in the hunt.

MAINSTREAM MEDIA HAS SLID INTO THE SWAMP

The Dems and Reps are left to sell their leaders to America.

Image is now everything. The real challenges have vacated consciousness.

Only 2 years ago, Palin was only the "Mayor" of tiny little Wasill, Alaska (population 5,470).

If SHE can be VP, then any "Mayor" of any town of 5,000 or more can be the next GOP VP choice!

LOL...

As a long term Republican and an early supporter of Sen. McCain for President I am totally perplexed by his selection of Sarah Palin as his VP. As has been pointed out by many before me she lacks the relevant experience for this job as does Obama. The Repulicans have been very quick to point out Mr. Obama''s lack of experience. Mr. McCain then picks a VP with less experience then Mr. Obama to back him up when he is in his early 70''s. I honestly do not get it?
In addition, Mrs. Palin now has a child with special needs and a young daughter with her own challenges and she is going to have time to be the VP? By the way, this comment would apply to Mr. Palin if he were running for VP rather then his wife. At this time both parents need to be focusing on there family not on politics. How does this decision speak to family values?
Lastly, this selection causes me to wonder about Sen. McCain''s judgement!!

Palin is just another "pretty face" with absolutely no substance - your typical GOP candidate.

18 months into her very first State-level job - no national or international experience at all.

I just hope the American people are not going to get suckered again by these Republicans. They had their chance the last 8 years and look what''s happened.

They have no plans to change anything. In fact McCain-Palin may make Bush-Cheney look like a warmup.

Republicans in Palin''s home state, Alaska, had mixed reactions to the news. Alaska State Senate President Lyda Green, a Republican, remarked, "She''s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president?".

Larry Persily, a Palin staffer, and Jim Whitaker, the Republican mayor of Fairbanks, indicated their support of Palin as Governor, but questioned whether she was ready to serve as vice president.

Republican Gail Phillips, a former Speaker in the Alaska House of Representatives, questioned whether McCain had done any vetting of Palin, noting "I started calling around and asking, and I have not been able to find one person [in Alaska] that was called. I called 30 to 40 people, political leaders, business leaders, community leaders. Not one of them had heard."
