Looks like you ran old Lefty off. I see he voted for George H.W. too, that was the last republican for either of us.

Not only does he call the current system a "disgrace" (which) you can find all over the web). But then Mr. eight houses has the hypocrisy to draw $1930/month out of the system.

The current system is a disgrace! And he''s promoting bi-partisan effort to solve it! What else could you ask for?

And why shouldn''t he be drawing it? I''m sure every other politician that qualifies is drawing theirs! I suspect Ted Kennedy is really enjoying his, as well as the government paid medical treatment he is getting right now!

Obama is between a rock and hard place.
He had to support Hillary in order to maintain some sort of balance in the Dem party and, of course, try to win over some of her voters.

I believe that once the convention is over, Obama should distance himself far from the Clintons.
By far, I mean very, very far. There will then be no reason to court their support. Hillary should definitely NOT be offered a cabinet position.

I certainly agree the Clinton''s don''t need to be in anyway involved in the whack job Obscamma scams! They need to stay out of it and so do their supporters!

Obscamma will never with it without them! Good job!

Saddam Hussein and thousands of active terrorists are dead, and the rest scampering back to Afghanistan to hide in their caves!
Posted by WellHell3 at 01:44 PM : Aug 19, 2008

We have 4,120 American troops lost in the war but no al-Qaeda terrorists killed.

The price of your freedom is not cheap either in lives or $''s...and had we stayed in Afghanistan letting them pick the troops off like turkeys in a shoot, there''d pro''bly be lots more of our troops dead. Was a good move to bring them out in the open desert to fight. Now that they''ve been outsmarted, they''re scampering back to Afghanistan to their hidey holes.

And according to our government, ~18,000 of those "terrorists" held the #3 spot in Al Qaeda.

If he was right the troops would be home. I guess the surge wasn''''t that successfual, 200 insurgent attacks a week, US paying of Sunni tribe leaders for their participation, Sadr havinga ceasefire with petraeus. Petraeus made deals with the devil and eliminated 2 combatants. Smart move.

Strange isn''''t it...was republicans who helped write the SS bill...and we still have SS...and it''''s getting stretched because so many baby boomers are retiring...eliminating it? I seem to remember no proposals to eliminate it.

Oh Really, you don''t remember "I have a mandate" after the 2004 election (and backed by McCain)? You don''t remember Art Linkletters group trying to damage the AARPs opposition by linking them in an ad to gay marriage and not supporting the troops? Either you have serious memory issues or you are in denial.
