- As a McCain supporter the only Vp choice that makes me nervous is Hillary Clinton. Obama Clinton may be unbeatable. :( Obama + anyone else will probably go down in flames. :) If Obama picks an old white guy to run with he leaves McCain a lot of room to upstage him. McCain could choose Carly Fiorina and that would be the end of Obama. Hey Just gotta plugg my pick for McCain. I think the thing I like best about her is that she is not a politician.

- beader59, I''ve been waiting for you PUMA''S to realize Hillary does not have 18 million voters. If she had 18 million supporters, she would be out of debt. I see why they call the Clinton supporters un educated. The media has suckered you into believing this, even though you are looking at the real picture with your own eyes.

- 72% of Dems do not want Hillary as the VP choice.
Nuff said. She will not be the VP nominee.

- I say make Clinton the VP. I think she should get a shot at her own intern & even things up with Bill. Although she would need a couple dozen interns to catch up with Bill.

- Has Ted Kennedy ever tried a bi-partisan effort to find a fix for it? Or even TRIED to fix it?

Yes I believe Kennedy was involved with Reagan and Greenscam to pass the SS reform bill in 1983.

Nice try, but SS was hardly in Jeopardy in 1983, lol - Reply to this comment
- I sure will be glad when Obama picks his running mate and ends this guessing game the press is obsessed with. I also hope that all of the Clinton supporters will put away their axes and support Obama this fall. Surely they realize the future of our country is at stake and we can''''t afford another Bush presidency which McCain will surely be.

What axes would that be? I supported Hillary because I absolutely didn''t want Obscamma? Why would I vote for him now? - Reply to this comment

- IF he is stupid enough not to choose Hillary as VP, she better get the next open slot on the Supreme Court.

If he does pick Hillary, won''t that just put three Presidents in the White House? - Reply to this comment
- It looks more and more like Obama will pick Joe Biden, the plagiarer from Delaware. He could care less what rank and file Democrats or average Joes think. It makes sense. Joe Biden, a male chauvinist pig who always hated Hillary deep down is, if possible, even more of an egotistical two-faced smug glory-seeker than is Barack. This VP pick will reconfirm all of the worst fears many of us Democrats and other Americans have about Obama''''s lack of character. The pick of Joe Biden will not only show his lack of character but also of political judgment. Evan Bayh is the logical choice to heal party wounds. But it seems that the Obama crowd, now just 5 points ahead of McCain in a year when any Dem should be 20 points ahead, is determined to lose the election. And drag a lot of promising Dem Senate and House candidates down with him. What a shame!

- Of course Hillary should be the VP choice. If he picks anyone else he would be going against half of the Democratic voters of the U.S. If he picks the other female, the Gov., we would have to inexperienced idiots in the White House. Obama was a mistake and we will pay for it if he is elected. IF he is stupid enough not to choose Hillary as VP, she better get the next open slot on the Supreme Court.

- I DO beleive that, just wish you wouldn''''t. I''''ve been checking out Bob Barr recently and found I''''m in more agreement with him than anyone right now. He''''s like the old republicans, beleives in small government, more powers for the states, restoring our personal liberties. I know he can''''t win, but if enough people vote for him, maybe the major parties will take note and offer better candidates in the future.

- seriously doubt that Ted Kennedy is trying to turn it into a means tested welfare system, or pulling the funding out from under the people that are approaching retirement today. Yes, if McCain thinks that the way the system is funded is a disgrace and he feels younger workers are getting the shaft for having to support the current retirees, then he should lead by example. He can certainly afford to fore go that money.

- The current system is a disgrace! And he''''s promoting bi-partisan effort to solve it! What else could you ask for?
And why shouldn''''t he be drawing it? I''''m sure every other politician that qualifies is drawing theirs! I suspect Ted Kennedy is really enjoying his, as well as the government paid medical treatment he is getting right now!
