New CBS News Poll Shows Obama Overseas Trip, McCain Ads Failed To Alter Still-Fluid Race
- They said the money they gave to the campaign was to buy T-shirts, even though the Obama sells them for about $20/each and the going price for T-shirts in Gaza is less than a 10th of that price. In an interview with WND''''s Aaron Klein, the brothers reportedly changed their story repeatedly.

So you admit they change their story, and that is supposed to be Obama''s problem. In other words, you don''t know if it is true or not, but are on here as usual spreading unsubstantiated rumors. As far as the rules for online donations, they are the same for McCain, aren;t they? And I don;t think they could donate 26k without obviously being over limits. What are you actually claiming? - Reply to this comment
- That the Edwans were able to contribute to Obama''s campaign from Gaza raises questions about the lax methods used by the presidential candidate''s website to vet online donations. The website donation form only asks each donor to affirm that he or she is a U.S. citizen above the age of 16. It requires no proof of citizenship status, such as a passport or social security number.
The form further requires the donor to affirm the contribution is not coming from a corporation, political action committee or lobby group. Wonder if Hamas qualifies. - Reply to this comment

The Edwans are a large clan that include top Hamas supporters, according to WND. The two brothers praised Obama and admitted giving the money online to his campaign. They said they are not U.S. citizens or green card holders but are citizens of "Palestine."

JERUSALEM %u2013 Palestinian brothers inside the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are listed in government election filings as having donated $29,521.54 to Sen. Barack Obama''''''''s campaign.
Donations of this nature would violate election laws, including prohibitions on receiving contributions from foreigners and guidelines against accepting more than $2,300 from one individual during a single election, Bob Biersack, a spokesman for the Federal Election Commission, told WND in response to a query.
The contributions also raise numerous questions about the Obama campaign''''''''s lax online donation form, which apparently allows for the possibility of foreign contributions.

- Obama will now begin to widen the gap. McCain''s camp made a critical mistake. They complained that Obama was getting all the attention. We all know that media attention anymore is sensationalist and overwhelmingly negative and scandal related. Now that they are turning toward McCain, he is a goner once they take a closer look.
Be careful what you ask for, as you just might get it. - Reply to this comment
- Is the CBS poll like the latest AP-IPSOS poll? That poll was taken with 531 democrats and 381 republicans, really fair!

- Obamas campaign has been receiving online donations from foreign countries for some time now and they need to be fully investigated. I emailed my concerns to the Federal Election Commission demanding that they do a full audit! Obamas campaign has been infiltrated by Muslims with direct ties to radical Islamists just recently.

- Several of the donors were emphatic in interviews that they had made the contributions on their own and had not been reimbursed. Indeed, while the donors do not fit the typical profile of people who often make large political donations, it appears many have made relatively successful livings, toiling away at small businesses they own: an auto repair shop, a discount stereo warehouse, a realty company.
