That is what amazes me Tony - these loyal Bush fans and I wonder why? He has run this country INTO THE GROUND and yet they still defend him? We are in a recession and unemployment is at a all time high........Bush has almost destroyed the U.S. in 8 years. - Reply to this comment

- You know what amazes me? As I read some of these comments, I cannot fathom why in the world this administration (or regime) has supporters. They have failed and failed terribly at everything they have done...unless the rightwing fanatics think ruining our country as a success. Then looking at it from that perspective, he has been most successful.

- You dumb*ss lib. If the money is borrowed, it has to paid back with interest, and therefore it isnt a "bailout".

If you think for one minute that money is going to be paid back your more out of touch with reality than I thought. Bush and company only have a few more months to raid the treasury before they are out of business. - Reply to this comment
- 1. We recruited and trained Osama bin Laden to fight resist the Russians in Afghanistan.
2. Upon the Russian withdrawal we withdrew all support for Afghanistan and left the country to the oh so heinous care of the Taliban.
3. After 9/11 we invaded Afghanistan and overthrew the Taliban who were aiding Osama.
Now, I have a couple of problems about our desertion of our allies in the country after the Russian withdrawal, but we definitely needed to step in to curb the Al Qaeda threat.
4. We invaded Iraq, against all advise up to and including warnings from George Bush Sr.
5. We invaded Iraq under false and trumped charges.
6. We are invaders and occupiers of a country that did not ask for our help in the first place.
7. Factions within Iraq are fighting our occupation of their country. If they had invaded us would you do no less?
8. These insurgents consider themselves patriots, just as we would. Would we stop fighting the invaders and occupiers of our country. The answer is no way in h e ll. Now tell me again what the exactly it is that we are doing there other than wasting American lives and resources. - Reply to this comment

"Rupert Murdoch''''s daughter to hold Barack Obama fundraiser"
I love this story becoz it tells me the next generation is taking over the torch. Our generation and previous generations should just get out of the way by passing away of natural cause. - Reply to this comment
- Hey jjarden,
I love your points. I cannot wait for the upcoming 4th Great Depression around the year 2018 to dynamite American''s Ego, Pride, Greed and Arrogant once and for all. - Reply to this comment

- Bear Stearns wasn''t bailed out with government funds, it was acquired by a private sector competitor.

Once again wrong! The Feds by order from the Whitehouse have given the go ahead for that "private investor" to borrow BILLIONS if needed to keep Bear Stearns afloat. So the government is bailing them out. After you try thinking for yourself, try telling the truth is the next step. - Reply to this comment
- The American people are either...
1) Ignorant of what is taking place...
or
2) In Denial about what is taking place...
or
3) Delusional about what is taking place.
The evidence is very clear Folks...IT''''S OVER...America is NOT what it used to be, and the American people are thinking it will get back to it''''''''s former "Greatness" as an economic "Powerhouse."
It aint gonna happen.
The American way of life and it''''''''s "Standard of Living" is in decline, at the same time that the Asian Counties are on the rise and their standard of living is increasing.
Asia is what America WAS back in Post WWII...their countries are creating a "Middle Class" at this time, and hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people are improving their standard of living, even though it is still far less than America''''''''s standard of living. But again, at the same time, America''''''''s standard of living is in decline.
That''''''''s what the American people have not come to grips with yet...America is changing on the "World Stage," and much of this change is decline. American''''''''s can no longer "Compete" with the third and second world LABOR. Business and the Market no longer NEEDS Americans when they can simply go to a low-cost nation, with low-cost labor.
It''''''''s OVER...or as Legendary Investor Jim Rogers said while walking out the US Door after he sold his NY Mansion and converted all his Money OUT of the US Dollar...he said..."America is a Has-been Country."
He is 100% Correct. - Reply to this comment
- "Bear Stearns wasnt bailed out with government funds, it was acquired by a private sector competitor."- TracyMoron
TracyMoron, you REALLY need to get a few more brain cells to start firing! The Fed has promised Bear Stearns savior JP Morgan that it will guarantee the value of whatever *** Bear has piled onto its balance sheet. In other words, the Fed is effectively assuming the liabilities of Bear Stearns! (And the Fed''s source of capital, ultimately, is the TAXPAYERS.) SO, Bush used OUR MONEY to bail out Bear Stearns, but if one of us has similar problems, then it''s "every man for himself"!
TracyMoron, you REALLY ARE a mo.ron! - Reply to this comment
- Hey TracyMorg_an,
Bear Stearns was bailed out with $29 Billions of government funds. Now, are you going to tell me now the government did not bail out the Savings and Loans banking crisis of 1988?
Then, you are like the Jews. The Jews have been told for centuries that Mosiac will come one day. However, even with Jesus did come in person and standing right in front of them, the Jews still did not believe it and had him killed. - Reply to this comment

- Hey TracyMorg_an,
On his 2nd released video, Osama Bin Laden said he will eliminate America Economically and not Militarily.
After 13 years, Soviet Union quit Afghanistan after attempting everything under the Sun and cease to exist.
So far OBL is successfully using the same Successful Strategy against America Regardless of the Military advancements or "Rules of engagement" or "...changing nature of war"
Don''t you get it, OBL is winning by using the ''A'' card while Idiot Americans are using the King and Queen cards in this game. OBL is a genious just like Albert Einstein. - Reply to this comment
- Well, it''s official, the Bush Administration seems to be ranked with or as the WORST in the history of the United States. Bush arrived with the country in surplus, a super, though, softening economy, a Repub Congress, America fairly well-respected in the world, and he has almost completely trashed our good name. I believe Obama has, by far, the best chance to restore America''s rightful strong, yet humble place in this world.

- TracyMoron throws out this zinger: "Pelosi (highest ranking Dem) approval rating 10 point below Bush."
You are trying to diminish the impact of the fact that vitually ALL of this country now knows that Bush has sold us out so his and Cheney''s buddies could get even richer, while our country sinks into hell. Pelosi''s job is to OPPOSE Bush. She has done a really bad job of preventing Bush from getting his way. Her incredible stu.pidity was on display from the beginning, when she said "Impeachment is off the table", despite the fact that both Bush and Cheney have committed blatant crimes against the Constitution and the People of the USA. That turned her into a Bush-enabler. Being too stu.pid to see she is on "their side", repugs hate her for being a democrat, and dems hate her for not doing her job to slow down Bush''s train wreck.
Your "comparison" is, therefore, totally meaningless and invalid-- but it is typical of what losers do when they can''t argue the facts. - Reply to this comment
