I can''''t beieve 27% of Americans want our troops to remain in Iraq at the current levels!! First of all, we clearly are not doing our country any good over there. Second, do these people think we have an endless supply of soldiers!? Unless we start up the draft, we cannot maintain the current level. That''''s all we have. Wish we could send the 27% on over to check things out for themselves - or force them to read something before ever voting again (or just promise not to vote if you don''''t read or think.)

Good for you don''t believe it, poll are twisted by how the question is asked and how the person is allowed to answer. Plus you are being lied to about what is and is not going on in Iraq, it is all bad news which is further hyped and spun for effect. The US could not have fought and won WW2 with the media we have now.
It is all about politics for the media and how can they get a Democrat in the White House in 2008.

Bush was, is and remains the wrong man, at the wrong time in the wrong place. All George was capable of doing was being a figurehead - he has no capabilities, abilities, qualities or skills to be President of the United States of America. Rove sold him teh same way he sold millions of Americans Hair-Gro pills - both being fakes.

This shows what a joke our democracy is. Americans want out of Iraq. The "leaders" we elect keep us in Iraq. We don''''t expect our leaders to do what we the people want. So, the people of this country don''''t expect their leaders to represent their will when it comes to a war. Essentially, we don''''t expect our democracy to function as a democracy. Sad.

Congress can defund the war anytime it wants to if they can get the number of votes needed, thats Democracy at work. CBS polls are slanted and dishonest and you can''t run a country on polls; which are attempts to slant public opinion. Seventy percent of the public didn''t want to go to war with Germany just before FDR and Congress did.

Bush will never know this - he will never see or hear the data - he will remain coccooned in his delusional state of mind because he simply is not mature enough to accept that the greater majority of Americans no longer believe him or believe in him.

Whether some Americans realize it or not, we are fortunate to have a President who doesn''t rely on polls to make tough, intelligent decisions.

There is nothing ''fortunate'' to speak of when it comes to the Bush administration, except the fact that one day it will end.

Thankfully most of the nation understands this finally. The dull-witted sychophants are the only ones stupid enough to try and defend Mr. Bush now.
