- John McCain is a senior citizen there''s not doub about it, donbl1, but he''s healthy and able. I believe his time has come and he''s our best bet. I''ll take my chances with his age because I think what he can offer far outweighs the risk of early death. Let''s face it death in ones 70s is young these days.

- We as a people should also be informed, how much will this occupation cost the taxpayers. It was costing us 12 billion a month before the surge. 12 billion could build us 24 state of the art retractable doomed major league ballparks, and that''s just one month of expenses. I really like McCain, too. Met his dad when he was CINCPACFLT and John McCain was a POW. Dad was impressive and focused even with his son as a POW. Son does not fall far from that tree.
My problem is John McCain is past his peak and into the tough years for a guy. It should have been him and not Bush 6.5 years ago.
