CBS News Poll: Thompson's Entry Vaults Him To A Close Second Place In Republican Contest
- CHINESE OWN DEMONIC-RATS AND BUY THEM THE ELECTIONS!!!
The tale of shady Chinese Clinton donors avoiding U.S. justice is a familiar one that dates back to the 1996 Clinton-Gore fundraising scandal known as Chinagate. The Clintons took millions in laundered foreign campaign donations from Chinese Communists in exchange for liberalizing trade policy with China, dropping pending indictments against influential Chinese figures, spots on a U.S. trade mission and overnight stays at the White House.
Many of the Chinagate donors were successfully prosecuted even though Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno blocked investigators%u2019 efforts at the Justice Department. More than 100 people connected to the fundraising scandal fled the country, however. Norman Hsu seems to be following their lead.

- Thompson, a career lobbyist, represents everything that is wrong with Washington. Hes the corporations and special interests wet dream. If you like Bush, youll just love Thompson. If you like government by the corporation, of the corporation and for the special interests, hes your man. Hes a multinational corporation posing as a human being.
How convenient that when america notices what a sorry lot the GOP candidates are some other fake actor ronald reagan wanna be comes in with so much media favor to take the reins as the official banana republicon candidate for empire and national decline... - Reply to this comment

- The last chance to shove it up Murdoch and the rest of the crooks is to vote for the man who will honour the constitution and thereby the American people.
His Name is Dr Ron Paul, if America had any common sense it would already be done and dusted. - Reply to this comment
- Its got to stop, the money they get from Tax Payers is not a comodity to bargain with to aquire "deals" to influence legislation, its money taken from the people of this nation to provide and protect our country. .

Riiiiiiight, and the Republicans would NEVER earmark or spend money on their own pet projects. Grow up and set outside to the real world and take off you partisan blinders! As soon as the Republicans got full control of congress and the White house, they were breaking open the national checkbook for their pet projects. Both sides are equally at fault pwrslm. Wake up and smell the coffee. And to another part of your post, "and replace it with a flat rate sales tax to save this nation hundreds of millions that the IRS blows every years," I haven''t really seen the IRS going on any spending binges lately, have you?
On the bright side, I do agree with you stopping lobby influencing. Our government is being bought and sold to the highest bidder, AND BOTH PARTIES ARE TO BLAME!!!!! - Reply to this comment
- aznyron,
I disagree with you. 9/11 still would have happened, but the embarrassment in Iraq would not have and we''d be finishing what we started in Afghanistan. - Reply to this comment

but I got my point across. all I read in here is hate against Democrats name calling republicans
I just want to make one point if Al Gore was not robbed out of the Presidency today we would not be in morning all those innocent victims of 9_11

- The 27% still supporting Rudy are the same 27% still supporting Bush, and that is significant considering Bush is Rudy''s hero.
Thrills me to no end to watch Rudy''s ego fall with the percentages. Rudy picks up where Bush leaves off, so any doubts that Bush''s arrogance and indifference to what the voters want once elected won''t be perfectly mirrored in Rudy can be put to rest here and now. Rudy is cut from the exact same cloth as his mentor...Bush. And he would love to our next emperor. - Reply to this comment

I''ve actually heard one of America''s best and brightest opine about Ross Perot when he made his last run...''We can''t have a president with ears like that.'' I lived through several German elections and never heard anything approaching the vacant-headed musings of Americans with advanced degrees on politics and economics in a university town.... It confirms for me the bon mot of William F. Buckley...''I''d rather be governed by the first names in the Boston phone book than by the faculty of Harvard.'' - Reply to this comment
