Thats it Radiob was that an embarassment or what all of England and America heard it. I couldn''t show my face after that one. My husband died last year of cancer and thanks it gets better every day it just takes time this talking to you guys have really helped me a lot not looking for sympathy but I do love talking to you guys. Bush (or whatever lackey wrote his speech for him) was referring to the period between Commodore Perry''s visit to Japan, and the date of his speech, February 2002. That''s exactly 150 years.

Bush was completely oblivious to the things you mention, that occurred in that "era of peace in the Pacific."
