What's really sad is only a revolution can provide a candidate "of the people."

Bill Clinton and John Edwards were once "of the poeple" but their wealth has caused them to lose touch with reality. Getting a BJ in the White House and $400+ haircuts are not reality.

I don't normally come to the defense of someone like drivelphobe but his/her post was far more sensible than most and your attack was unjustified. I know that you can't vote here but if you could you would probably vote for Hillary.

Unlike most ranters on these boards, drivel had the sense to realize that yes, Hillary is more qualified than most. And she is.

However, we don't need, and hopefully most voters will not want another dynasty. We've had a Bush for 12 of the last 19 years (20 in '09) and if another Clinton is elected, it will be a two-family dynasty lasting 24 years and possibly 28. If another Bush is elected after that, it could go on for 36 years.

Would a family dynasty like that be acceptable in Canada? I doubt it.

We have a problem here in the U.S. (I'm sure you do in Canada, as well) that only the very rich can run for president. And now it's becoming apparent that only rich families can supply candidates. Sad, really sad for democracy.

Clinton is now trying to turn the imagery to her advantage.

Speaking Tuesday to Democratic municipal officials, the New York senator used the term to hammer Republicans on election irregularities. She also used the phrase similarly during a campaign appearance over the weekend in New Hampshire.

Clinton was first lady when she famously charged allegations of an affair between her then-president husband Bill Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky were the result of a conservative conspiracy.

You're right. Probably none are more qualified now that you mention it. I just can't stand the sight of Hillary and her manner and self-serving style seem almost child-like. She has a lot of experience and her resume looks good, but I don't think she has a real clue about what truly goes on. She is doing Bill's bidding. I too am voting for another. I look for someone with common sense, but it's hard to find.
