When have you seen that happen? I've been waiting 6 years! - Reply to this comment

As I have said here repeatedly, I am not left-wing or liberal. I am middle of the road, perhaps leaning more to the right, actually. I don't subscribe exclusively to one school of political thought, as the truth tends to be multi-faceted and complex, and can only be grasped by realistic consideration of all viewpoints.
I would be happy to have a discussion with you. Unfortunately, that is rendered impossible in any meaningful way, because you refuse to open your mind to any but your own viewpoint, and in addition, you repeatedly try to attack those who disagree with you, rather than their arguments. In fact, you appear actively to ignore what is said by your opponents, and instead make up an argument you think you can win.
When you demonstrate the maturity to have a real discussion and the ability to think objectively, I will be very happy to discuss anything you like. As long as you continue to accuse me and others of statements never made and opinions never held, though, I see little point in discussing. I can't argue with your willful distortions of the truth and refusal to see plain facts. - Reply to this comment
- Fartknocker,
Thank you for singling me out as your example of unpatriotic behavior. That you consider me 'the enemy' would make me feel good (as I find your brainless opinions and insult-slinging repulsive) were that opinion based on anything resembling the truth.
I don't support cutting funding for the troops now there. (And neither does anyone else, NeoCon lies notwithstanding.)
I would never spit on a returning vet, and I would punch out any *** I saw doing that. At best, veterans are heroes of our country. Even in the worst case of unjust wars like Viet Nam and this one, they are victims of the machine that send them there, just as is the rest of the population. They, in fact, are far more victimized, as it is their lives on the line. - Reply to this comment

- If American proceeds with this deployment and breaks down small American Units to live and work with these Iraqi Death Squad Units our troops will be kidnapped and handed over to such beheadings, torture and captivity as has never been seen before on Cable, Internet, and National Television. If you support this surge in troops and the tactics it brings you are responsible for every one of these deaths.

- That petition is a good Idea but I don't know who would act?

- This administration no longer represents either the citizens, values or constitution of the US.
I think that a responsible news organization should begin circulating a petition on a national basis seeking signatures for the impeachment of this President and Vice President for violating their oaths of office

Good idea:
Is there a legally binding way, other than simple pressure on congress or through the regular voting process, to actually effect impeachment with a petition signed by a sufficient number of people?
I suspect enough signatures could be collected at this time. - Reply to this comment
- The polls for bush are indeed much MUCH lower. (bush)It does not realize that it and his criminal administration is about as popular as a glass shard encrusted bowl obstruction that is about to be removed surgically from the large colon without any type of anestetic with a sharp stick. Let your imagination roam on that one. Just my personal opinion.

- How much time will President Bush spend on talking about the national debt? By illegally invading Iraq and drastically cutting taxes (mainly for the rich) while in a state of war thereby doubling the national debt?
Everybody looks at the national debt, as something to be paid in the future so they don%u2019t really think much about it. But what they don%u2019t seem to realize are the IMMEDIATE costs.
More of our tax dollars are spent EACH YEAR paying JUST THE INTEREST on the national debt (OVER $400 billion annually) than we have spent so far on Iraq. That will increase every year and it doesn%u2019t reduce the debt one penny. The debt is still growing, as will the interest. - Reply to this comment
- 28% huh!!! I still can't figure out why it's so high?
The must have polled only 100 people and .... 28 were immediate BUSH FAMILY MEMBERS!!!
One of these days Gallop will get that algorithym corrected. - Reply to this comment
