Comments on: Poll: Bush Approval Rating At New Low
On Eve Of State Of Union, President's Approval Rating Falls To 28%, A New Low
- as far as I know, back in 42-43, old uncle Adolf, castrated the Wehrmacht by taking over all of the tactical decisions. fatal mistake, but good for the Allies.

We need someone in the Military with enough balls
to
throw half the damned journalist out of their area.
They were showing a convoy ambush on TV news this
AM.
All the insurgents have to do is watch CNN and they
can see the detestation the IEds have caused and the
damned reporters will point out to them the type
HUMV
and up armored doors/Glass etc, Show them the size
of
the hole in the vehicle at, if they understand
English
what would have happened if they had hit this IED at
another angle.
We do not need these people helping our enemy with
pictures and dialog.
We show and tell too much on TV.

- If anything, those opposed to the war are angry and ashamed that our brave men and women are forced to fight and die for a Fool's errand, a fool's fight, and a fool's pathetic and onesided view of the world he lives in.

As a vet I agree completely. Well stated!

Word. These brave young kids have been thrown under the wheels of the bus by this administration. If there was a draft now like there was for Viet Nam, I think the protests would be staggering in scope. - Reply to this comment
- We know that bush will use scare tactics. A greater concern is that Iran is the only country that has gained from our invasion of Iraq. If bush and the neocons haven't figured that out, it's bad news because they are completely oblivious to reality. If they are aware of that fact, Iraq was a ploy they've used to mass troops next to Iran to start a war with them. If we don't have enough spare ground troops to fight Iran, they could be contemplating the use of tactical NuKuLar weapons there. It's unimaginable but this is the administration that schemed to get us into the war in Iraq.

Actually, Net, the opposite is true. I travel extensively, and one of the biggest gripes people have with us is that we seem to let Bush get away with whatever he likes without raising our voices in dissent. They hate him, and the policies of international bullying, war for money and empire building he stands for. They see the citizens of the US either as lazy cowards for not making him stop, or (even worse) they assume we must all support him because he just keeps it up.
No one is ******** about "how bad we have it" in the US to no purpose, although of course it suits your technique of sneering at your opposition to pretend it is all spoiled, childish whiing. In fact we are exercising both our right of free speech and our sacred duty as Americans in speaking out when we see our country heading down the wrong path. This is what real patriotism is made of.
If you feel that patriotism consists of simply standing by and yelling "Support the troops!" while the president turns our country into a rogue state and a dictatorship, then you, sir, have missed the point. Indeed, it is you and those like you who actually contribute to Americans being hated. - Reply to this comment

- As Bush deviates further and further away from mainstream American values and beliefs, it is time to get rid of him through impeachment. He has to go ,period. If a CEO of a corporation behaves and performs like Bush, he would be kicked out of the door in a heart beat. Why is Bush still around to commit further mistakes in our name? Impeach him and Cheney! If not now, then when?
