Comments on: Poll: Iraq Going Badly And Getting Worse
Majority In CBS News Survey Doubt U.S. Can Win; 62% Call War 'A Mistake'
- IT'S TIME TO IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT.
WILL THE U.S. SUCCEED IN IRAQ?
Very likely
9%
Somewhat likely
34%
Not very/not at all likely
53%
9+34=43% of Americans still beleive that success in Iraq is still possible. Strange enought but this looks like a natural division of the votes in an election. Repubislicans getting their natural shares of the vote. Nonetheless this probing shows a clear cut disapproval toward the debacle that is going on in Iraq and that'll get worse if nothing is done.
With Walking-LiarBush and his henchmen still in command, it'll look even worse, because any action he may undertake will be looked at skepically by Americans and International Community, not to mention the skepticism and lack of confidence that is expressed in this poll on the way Walking-liar is handling the Job and the Situation in Iraq. Constitutionally speaking Walking-Liar is still the commander in chief of the Armies. It's a delicate situation, because he looks more as dictator in command than a decent President in Command.
The best way to exit this stituation is to Impeach him, and for once the will of the American People will be expressed through its elected representatives in the Congress. - Reply to this comment
- Im sorry MissAmerica4 could possibly exist in this day and age. My dear in 1770 you would have been a loyalist and working against this countries bid for freedom. You see, you consider people who voice an opinion contrary to the leader as Un-American. He is not a king, he works for me and you and every other American. And we all have the right and duty to question, comment and petition him or her. It is obvious you nothing about propaganda and spin control. The Iraqis are free from Saddam you are correct but they now live in a place where there is all out civil war and anarchy. How would you feel if Russia decided to attack us because Putin didnt like how Bush was running things? You cant just take out a country because you disagree with their tactics.

- Actually that's wrong missamerica, there have been many polls taken in Iraq. Most of which show that more then 60% think it's fine to kill American soldiers and upwards of 80% want us out now. Put me down as supporting the 80% who want our troops out of that meat grinder, asap.

Just give us the good news on Iraq.
Tell us about how the Iraqis want us there.
Tell us how Iraq is about protecting freedom.
Is it a Civil War?
How was it connected to Al Qaeda and 9/11?
Where is Osama?
Don't go on blathering incoherently. Just give us some facts we can sink our teeth into. Put up something substantive or find an itelligent adult to do it for you. - Reply to this comment
- I served my time in the military during Vietnam and I volunteered to do it. Yes plenty of people have died defending our freedom (including members of my family too), but none of the ones in Iraq. They all died because of lies told to them and us by Bush. As for those who died in previous wars that actually were about defending our nation, they spin in their graves every time Bush attacks our Constitution and Bill of Rights, to the bleating cheers of the frightened sheep that follow him.

- Invasion of a sovereign country.
Faulty, manipulated intelligence.
No Osama yet.
3,000 American lives lost in addition to 9/11
$2,500 per second cost.
Misunderstanding of the factions involved (a little history reading might have helped)
A country in Civil War
How many of our freedoms have ben stripped under the excuse of anti terrorisim.
It took this long to reach these conclusions? Where was the press early on?
Who had the country under control? Who backed that man, and made him? Now that the reasons have all been proven false, and the country is tearing itself apart, who might just bring it back together? While it's been presented that Saddam was an awful fellow (he was) our rules, outlook, morals, don't apply everywhere.
If you're going to go to war, you go to WAR.
Collateral damage is just that, civilians are targets, always have been (they were at the Twin Towers). If you don't have the stomach to go to war, to do what's truly required, then you don't go. Before you do go, be very, very certain of your facts. It also helps if you were asked, we were not.
It's time to ask very difficult and hard questions. If our intelligence groups were doing their jobs would 9/11 even happened? Are our borders secure?
If we were invaded, wouldn't we fight back? Wouldn't we want the invaders head on a platter, yet we take offense when we see that's what other people want with Mr Bush. If ever there was a case for impeachment, it's right in front of us. - Reply to this comment

They haven't learned yet to take a poll to see which way the wind is blowing to know what to say. - Reply to this comment

Very funny. You can afford to be flip sitting safely behind your computer. Sitting in the safe free country that someone else died for.
Gee...what a bargin that was.
I also hope it was not one of the bloggers as they all seem to be really wonderful folks.
Struggling through accident of birth to survive in a land decimated by a ruthless dictator. They would gladly change places with you. I think it would be a good trade. - Reply to this comment
- Oh and missamerica, in spite of what Bush and apparently you believe, those Iraqi's were actual honest to God human beings. They had hearts, souls, husbands, wives, children, parents, hopes and dreams. Every bit as much as the nearly 3000 US soldiers who Bush has murdered with his lies and ego.

"I have 3 sons who are 22, 20, and 17. What have they done to deserve to die for someone else? Nothing!"
"If people want to fight a war, let them volunteer to sacrifice their own lives, not demand their neighbors lives."
Who the hell do you think died so you could raise your sons in a free country?
I will tell you who. 3 of my relatives. In your case it was a waste of life.
Pathetic ,selfish people who don't deserve to be free. - Reply to this comment
- 63 more Iraqi's died today missamerica, so I hope none of them were the ones you said who had blogs saying how wonderful Bush is. Sure would be a shame as he can't afford to lose many more supporters.

- We were right to invade Afganistan (they attacked us) but wrong on Iraq (they were not doing anything but being annoying). But since we did why the heck didn't we do it 100%, why is there still an armed populace in the country. EVERYONE should have been disarmed, anyone found with a weapon should be SHOT as an insurgent/spy. If anybody with a weapon of anytype was fair game then it would be much easier to fight the war. When attached the military could strike back, pursue, hunt down the culprits. If we search a house and weapons/explosives found there, destroy the house. The place should have been divided into three provinces (if not three seperate countries) long ago. Then they would be so paranoid of each of the other states they wouldn't have time to mess with us.

- What do any of you really know about what goes on in Iraq?
You know nothing but what you read or see on Cr*p Broadcasting Station. They take these polls to see how well the brainwashing is taking. What they forget is you would need a brain to wash.
---reading some of these post ,looks like a few took. Please do not contribute to the gene pool--
If you can handle the truth, and not the cr-p fed to you by the idiot media.
You can look at the writings of several dozen Iraqi bloggers from this site. Look to see how Iraqi people think and feel about life in Iraq.
They are not the whimps and wusses that some so called Americans are.
Take the silver spoon out of your mouth, it blocks your vision.

As bad as things are now, I think they will only get worse. I think this conflict is going to further destabalise the entire region no matter what we do. - Reply to this comment
