"there have been many polls taken in Iraq. Most of which show that more then 60% think it's fine to kill American soldiers and upwards of 80% want us out now."
All in where you take the poll Randy... you know that. If you were in Iraq what would you say?
Sorry about being AWOL..... errrrrr there is a life going on here. I can't sit on the puter 24-7. Have a good day - Reply to this comment

- Would I send my son to this war? You might ask would I send him to World War II? Or Vietnam? Maybe you would distinguish those conflicts and whether you would send your son to fight in them. But that question is misdirected in a very important way: I can't command my son to go to war. He has to make that choice. So the better question would be: would I volunteer to fight in Iraq, WW II, Vietnam? Would I volunteer to fight in any war? Respond if drafted? I don%u2019t know. I'm not equivocating, only addressing that it is a hypothetical. To a hypothetical, I can answer, sure I'd fight. But I have nightmares of battle (from my past life as a Jacobite). So how do I feel toward those who do volunteer? Impressed and maturely knowing that many things go into their decision. But I do strongly believe that a country that can't find those men is doomed. The fact that we can find them is one reason why I say there is no failure in Iraq. Objectively, I also believe it for other reasons. An attempt to establish democracy in the Middle East is a bold, brilliant, noble effort, facing a high chance of failure. That's why I greatly respect and admire those who have made the attempt--the Bush administration. They have been resolute, something I have not seen in my lifetime. They may not succeed, for reasons outside their control or fault: traitors on the home front. Now those traitors have occupied the high ground. Yet... we're still in Iraq; the President hasn%u2019t been impeached. Why?...I'm waiting.

- missAmerica4 you are talking about info from a single site. Doesn't occur to you that the bad news from Iraq is coming from news sources from all over. If you really think that the war is going well and the news is all a put up I will be nice and call you naive. Try for a little common sense here.
I hardly think Baker and Hamilton would be spending their time putting together a report that was not needed. Or that Dubya would be frantically seeing anyone who had any ideas at all about Iraq. That alone should tell you he is in trouble. Before now, he has totally resisted asking anyone other than Cheney, Rummy, and Kissinger for advice.
But far be it for me to try and rip those rose colored glasses from your eyes. You want to continue to believe all is well, that is your choice. Just don't try to ignore all the evidence against you and keep yipping on about how we are being taken in by the press. It is an insult to my intelligence and of everyone elses as well. - Reply to this comment
- or if you prefer on ABC's front page:
Dec. 12, 2006 %u2014 A near record, 62 percent of Americans, disapprove of President Bush's job performance overall, a new high of 70 percent disapprove specifically of his handling of the situation in Iraq, and %u2014 at the root of his troubles %u2014 six in 10 now say the war there was not worth fighting.
"Let's impeach the president for spying
On citizens inside their own homes
Breaking every law in the country
By tapping our computers and telephones
What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees
Would New Orleans have been safer that way"

LOL, at least those "traitors" care enough about our country to know how our government works. The newly elected congressional members don't start until January 3rd. Why don't you pick up a civics textbook and learn a little bit about your country before you get up on your soapbox? - Reply to this comment

Either way ~
"Let's impeach the president for lying
And leading our country into war
Abusing all the power that we gave him
And shipping all our money out the door
He's the man who hired all the criminals
The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors
And bend the facts to fit with their new stories
Of why we have to send our men to war"

- Im sorry MissAmerica4 could possibly exist in this day and age. My dear in 1770 you would have been a loyalist and working against this countries bid for freedom. You see, you consider people who voice an opinion contrary to the leader as Un-American. He is not a king, he works for me and you and every other American. And we all have the right and duty to question, comment and petition him or her. It is obvious you nothing about propaganda and spin control. The Iraqis are free from Saddam you are correct but they now live in a place where there is all out civil war and anarchy. How would you feel if Russia decided to attack us because Putin didnt like how Bush was running things? You cant just take out a country because you disagree with their tactics.
