CBS's Meyer Says A Vote For Hillary Is A Vote For Bill, For Better Or For Worse
- Clinton my friends was a smart effective President. Remember how great the economy was back then. We all were working. The world political leadsers didn''t look upon as as fools like they do now. How soon they forget. I will be gald to have Bill back even in an advisor capacity as the first "First Man" The first female president is a change and a change for the better. Hrc is an experienced veteran who has been invloved in world affairs for 20 plus years. Obama the jr. Senator from Ill. was doing land and fence deals with indicted Politicains. The Democratic primaries shouldn''t even be close with this choice. Please

- "You also know that the Clintons, as always, feel wronged; by the press, by Obama, by the Kennedys."
It''s not only the Clintons who feel they have been wronged by the press. In hindsight, the tendentiousness of the media is gross. They practically bent over backward and let GWB get away with the stream of lies and obfuscation while not hammering him for the series of disasters that happened on his watch: 9/11, Katrina, Iraq, corporate accounting fraud, mortgage crisis. Some in the media practically cheered Bill Clinton''s impeachment but I don''t hear that level of outrage in connection with GWB this time. - Reply to this comment
- The New York Times describes today how Bill Clinton dealt with the Kazakhstan government to enrich his own foundation while undermining the foreign policy of this nation (and his wife). Is this really what we want in the White House?

Americans tend to have very short memories, but I believe this comment just reminded them that the perpetrators of that bombing were caught and tried while Osama Bin Laden was INTENTIONALLY allowed to escape punishment by the Bush administration.
There is, indeed, a word of difference, and I think people should, continuously, be reminded of it. - Reply to this comment

I guess you forgot that the world trade center was bombed under his watch that 42 democratic members of the house of reps lost their seats in 1994 because of the public dislike for him In fact they morphed the photos of the dem cadidates into bill''s face. they fought a national campaign against the democrats and took over the house of representatives for the first time in 40 yrs. I have saved significant money during gwb''s time in office saw the value of my stocks go up after the recession receded with the dot com bust that came during clintons time in office. You may also have forgotten a little thing called an impeachment brought on by clinton himself because he couldn''t tell the truth about ***.
There was also the attack on the housing complex for american soldiers in Saudi Arabia and the failure to take out Osama bin laden when actionable intelligence indicated where he was and one could speak of his failure to bring down saddam Hussein through non military tactics - Reply to this comment
- No fan of the Kennedys, but I, like them, do not want four more years of the Clinton twins.
Washington needs new, young, idealistic, not yet corrupted leaders. The same-o, same-o of the current, old crop of pols, shows us how inept they are. We need a change and McCain and the Clintons do not represent change.
And, how does being the First Lady for 8 years extrapolate into all the experience Hillary would like us to believe. She did not sit in on any national or international meetings. Being a shyster lawyer and a Senator for a brief time time do not experience make.
And, no tears are allowed in the oval office.
And, how many foreign governments will feel comfortable dealing with a woman president?
That many women will vote for Hillary simply because she is a woman is frightening and not all are blondes and l^sb^ans. How simple minded.
Sheeeeesh! Gimme a break. - Reply to this comment
- I have read Bill''s comments on Obama, and Hillary''s comments on MLK -- NOWHERE do I see race, lies, attacks, or anything else the media has dreamed up to sell papers. This is so Swift-Boat of the media.

- They got Mr. High and Mighty riled like any other politician on the stump. They got race into the arena.
Diick Meyer is a chronic, habitual lier!!
I am no fan of the Clintoons, but fair is fair. I watched him tell the press off that day, there was nothing racial at all.
Bill Clinton put the media in their place, they did not like it one bit, so now this mud bath by this jerk. - Reply to this comment
- Liberal press malarkey. The press are like grasshoppers. First they jump one way and then another! Fickle is the press.

- followed the clinton administration closer than any in my lifetime. I am a political junky. PLease tell me what great laws they passed together. We both know they they failed to pass the health bill. we both know they passed a welfare reform that liberals strongly objected to. Otherwise I can remember no great laws passed. Oh maybe you meant the tax increases.

Alan did you do well in the 1990''s?
I did.
And I think a comparison of 2008 vs. any of the 90''s is in order...Any unending poorly planned wars? Nope. Economy brought to its knees by mismanagement and oversight by "mortgage backed equities"? Nope. Terrorist attacks on Americans via Anthrax delivered in the mail, which was military grade, with no culprit caught? Nope. How about complete utter divisions among Americans..one half calling the other traitorous? Nope. How about having to have a "retro immunity" bill for telecoms even though the current FISA has immunity built in, IF THE ADMINISTRATION FOLLOWS THE LAW? Nope. How about firing attorneys that aren''t bush loyalists after the first round of firing when bush took office? Clinton did it only when he took office...well, I guess another big fat NOPE.
Hm, the 90''s...or the 2000''s...
Well Alan I guess you lose. - Reply to this comment
