Many Americans have begun to get most of their news off the Internet because it's convenient and fast. And we go to the major sites like CBS, MSNBC, and ABC, plus our favorite blogs. We switch back and forth from one to the other trying to find out what's really happening as opposed to being fed. I do not find the MSM to be liberal in the least which may come as a surprise to our Fox viewers who are being spoon fed the conservative line!
The media are like grasshoppers: First they jump one way and then the other! This is just as infuriating to liberals as to conservatives. At least on CBSNews.com, we can usually put in our two cents!

akrk33nnn You don't watch FOX news do you. Why do you hate so much that you are blind and try to spread false information. It seams like a liberal trait lately. Don%u2019t care about the troops or country just power. Why did Polsie have to make a political statement at the expense of our soldiers? They could have compromised on the war founding bill and had it passed, instead of using it as a political statement. They don%u2019t really want to end the war and know it is not wise to do so. If they really wanted to end it all they have to do is not fund it. Uneducated Americans are buying off on their antics, with slogans and accusations that are unfounded and go no where. The uneducated thank it means something. What we all should is stop the hatred and pull together to defeat the terrorist. They will not stop until we do. They will terrorize us until we submit to their way, which many has already done so.

Does this put him on the "right" or "left"? I'm not really sure, but for national security reasons, Murdoch must be stopped.

...... yeah akrk33nnn, we need to stop Murdoch after all his "American Idol" show just raised $70 million dollars for poor people in America and Africa during "American Idol Gives Back".
It's really sad to see so many Americans that have been contamiated for decades due to our corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack.........really sad

My question is: why hasn't Fox News published a story about tainted pet food, since April 19th. Major developments in the epidemic have occurred since that time, including an expansion of the recall list this very day -- but no word at all has been broadcast to Fox viewers or readers.

My guess is that Australians, including probably Murdoch himself, have a huge stake in Chinese and American imports/exports and shipping. And his company's lack of reporting makes him complicit in the deaths of thousands of pets, and maybe one day humans.

Does this put him on the "right" or "left"? I'm not really sure, but for national security reasons, Murdoch must be stopped.

perception5, Rupert Murdock held a fundraiser for Hilary Clinton last year.

Does this also represent "a GROSS 'conflict of interest'"? Should Rupert Murdock also resign?

"Murdoch has begun the process of returning American journalism to the state of honor it deserved in our first 100 years."

Brilliant satire. Are you DougJ?

"Conservatives with thoughtful views at variance with the MSM drivel simply cannot be printed in US MSM.."

I think delfmast is just being funny here, since you can't swing a cat here in the US without hitting a "thoughtful" conservative pundit.

Not to mention the fact that every burp and hiccup of a story that is pushed by the right wing, no matter how trivial or false, gets picked up automatically by the incredibly gullible US press.

Murdoch has begun the process of returning American journalism to the state of honor it deserved in our first 100 years. Look at the English speaking press, outside the control of US big money MSM, for the clues. Conservatives with thoughtful views at variance with the MSM drivel simply cannot be printed in US MSM, but their comments are printed by the millions of words, in old world respectable English speaking newspapers, magazines, et al. Simply, Murdoch sells traditional journalism, to people who want and can afford to pay for a news service without a 97% liberal bias. Long live Rupert, Fox, and the new FOX Money Channel.

"Of course, the party line is that Murdoch would make the Journal's news pages as right-wing as its editorial pages are now, gut its classy news operation and create a cable news behemoth that would wash the national brain clean of all that is good and righteous." - Mr. Meyer

...... this is a classic example of our corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack of which Mr. Meyer belongs. Mr. Meyer's isn't a reporter he's a liberal Democrat political hack.

Mr. Meyers why don't you do a story on Rick Kaplan who took over the CBS (Clinton Broadcasting Station)as the "Evening News" executive a couple of months ago.

For the folks who don't know about Mr. Kaplan, he is a personal friend of the Clintons having slept at the White House twice during the Clinton Administration........the last time in April 2000.

Our "Founding Fathers" wanted a free and independent press. Not with Mr. Kaplan heading up the News division.

This represents a GROSS "conflict of interest" and shows, Mr. Meyer, that CBS is a "left-wing" political organization. Please delete all reference to "news" and replace with "political"......... left-wing political.........really sad!

Rick Kaplan needs to resign ASAP
