You can use your word of art Shysters to form the polls wording to mean the exact opposite of what the people said but you and your elitist
Banker owners cannot make the people believe in your non palatable feed.

em You bought the lies they told you and YOU voted for them. So stop your whining and take some responsibility for your mistake. This problem is your fault. /em

I didn't vote for the Republicans, idiot. When did I say I ever did? I did vote for *** Mountjoy the Republican candidate for US Senate last year against open borders 'ho Democrat Dianne Feinstein, but that was because *** Mountjoy was strong against amnesty and illegals.

The fact is that both parties have their share of open borders 'hos like Feinstein and Bush. Hillary's campaign co-chairmen are 1.) a supporter of Aztlan who has been photographed saluting the Mexican flag and 2.) a former president of La Raza who is in favor of the NAU.

Americans want the immigration bill...I don't think so. The poll cited (the recent CBS News/New York Times poll), which so happened to be taken just before the first vote on immigration, is the ONLY poll that "claims" that a majority of Americans are for the current amnesty bill. Isn't it funny that every poll taken before the CBS/NY Times poll has shown that the majority of Americans (Republicans, Democrats, and Independents) do NOT want amnesty for illegal immigrants. Americans do want reform, but reform that "starts" with the laws that we already have in place, and that doesn't include legalizing someone who breaks the law. Did you notice the "poll" taken after Paris Hilton's release from jail to her home? Almost 95% of 9,500 plus people in the poll wanted "justice" and "no favoritism" for her. That goes for illegal immigrants as well! Doesn't CBS/NY Times know that the majority of Americans are not going to be "snowed" anymore with the propaganda they continually bombard us with? I don't think so. I will say though if the Senate somehow pulls this off, we can only hope that the House has more sense and will end this ridiculous bill or offer one that is much more fair to Americans and those who have waited so long (legally).
I believe the time has come that the "majority" of Americans have had enough of political nonsense, big business pay-offs, and the biased news media.

I want to add something that I think most of us want & that is to stop some of the money flow going south of the border. My suggestion is a stiff fee for any wire transfer from the U.S., and/or Bank draft or money order. If they want to send $100.00, then $25.00 should be a nice round fee to charge. That will leave them to send cash & all of us know how often money disappears from envelopes. In fact, maybe mail going south should be x-rayed.

I always thought the affluent and billionaires in Mexico are laughing at us. We are worried about making our mortgage, balancing our budgets and getting the trade imbalance lower whereas Senor Carlos Slim is on his way to becoming the richest man in the world. The pressure to cross the border would be less if the Mexican billionaires contributed to creating decent paying jobs in Mexico. Talk about injustice, we pay our taxes and other folks, not even my fellow citizens but illegal aliens and the rich and powerful in Mexico benefit. We should make Mexico accountable for its contribution to the illegal immigration problem. Instead of fighting a war thousand of miles away, let us take care of in-country business and take our borders back for the American people and let everyone know we are a sovereign state. As a nation of laws, we should enforce the border laws the way they were intended. We should recall judges who make rulings that contracts such as rents and leases should be in a language the reader can understand. Let us vote for an official language for the U.S. I should not have to have my rental agreements translated to 10 languages because of illegal immigrants. Enough!

It is to be noted cbsnews.com is still publishing a May 25, 2007 "cbs poll" with no comment allowed to point our (a) IF such a poll was taken it must have been taken in some Mexico City bar, as the numbers simply do not square with accurate numbers secured, for example, by the Rasmussen group, which (b) clearly show that actual Americans, citizens living in the USA, have been and are totally opposed to S.1348 Senate Amnesty surrender to the Illegals and Big Business bill, by 80 percent and above opposed,
5 percent for, and 15 percent the usual 'don't know crowd'.

It is outrageous cbs is using bandwidth and airwaves that belong to the American people to try to subvert the American way of life as well as overthrow our elected government and replace it with one of cbs' choosing.

Keep it up, cbs, and Americans will take such bandwidth and airwaves away from you altogether because they belong to us, and they are only on temporary loan to you.

Shieffer is a propagandist for internal (that is, domestic) enemies of the Constitution, and of the people of the United States.

I would not want to be him when We the People push the reset button.

What real Americans DEMAND is pretty simple: (1) Enforce current laws, (2) seal the borders, (3) harsh jail terms and very heavy fines for individuals as well as their corporations for hiring illegal aliens, (4) No Amnesty in any form whatsoever.

Guess what?

2 thru 4 IS THE CURRENT LAW, and over 80 percent of Americans DEMAND CURRENT LAWS BE ENFORCED.

People with early onset Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia simply ought not be on the CBS payroll any more.
