This year with the help of the lord and you good people our church raised over $10 million dollars... but I know you good people can do better than that... so this year with the help of the holy spirit we're gonna raise $20 million dollars for the lord... so dig deep brothers and sisters, and lets increase that tithe.... and now back to the Super Bowl...

I'd just like to know who the whiny liberal sheet was that saw the church ad and turned them in.

Who else would give a "flyin sheet" what a bunch of church goers do in their building.

Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Obama can use church services for whatever, but you try to bring in a few new prospects to your local church with a super bowl party and snacks and ppffffftt.

"...The league's long-standing policy is to ban "mass out-of-home viewing" of the Super Bowl except at sports bars and other businesses that televise sports as part of their everyday operations, Aiello said." and "The idea is to honor the NFL's contract with networks that provide free broadcasts of the game and to protect the Super Bowl trademark, Aiello said. "

I don't know where in the Sam Hell Aiello is getting his television reception from, but where I live, Time Warner makes me pay for it. Network television has never been free...it rakes in its millions from advertisers who pass the cost on to you and me. Seems like there's a battle of the "greedy bugger" here between the church, the NFL and your cable companies.

derfdude: That's why I stopped giving any money to religion years ago! I learned they were using it to impose their stilted belief's upon unsuspecting people! Religion has become one of the more lucrative business ventures in this country! It's rakes in billions of tax free dollars annually! Most religions have become big business complete with unbridled influence peddling! I would imagine they need Fort Knox to guard all of their ill-gotten gains! So, why do they need a petty Business Manager?

Hmmm, seems like the greedy NFL missed the opportunity for a hefty little tax deduction in the form of a "charitable contribution" by not allowing the church to show the superbowl to its sheeple.

Business manager Kaler says he didn't know the game was copyrighted...hmmmm... EVERY game played all year on TV and radio has that stated in it. He must have been in deep conversations with God during all those announcements or he is what I speculate he is... a LIAR... Folks, I believe we have another possible candidate here for 2008...

The church does need a business manager or what have you because of the not for profit rules and regulations. I am sure churches, most of them anyhow, give the money to maintining the church building itself (in the way of utilty bills, etc etc), paying employees (usually part time), nad to helping the needy and the youth of the churhe. Churches also sometimes have programs for adults who are just entering the church. I do not agree with the copyright law, where it concerns churches but the pastor was right, you have to teach the youth to respect the law, even if you do not agree with it.

If any one gets bored search .gov and read the copyright law, quite a eye opener. I had no idea my 7th grade book report was protected under copyright.

Who holds the copyright for this post?
Me?
CBS?
I better read %u201CTerms Of Use%u201D
