I live about 5 Miles from where this went down. South Africa has the some of the strictest gun control laws in the world.it takes 2 years to get a permit, and you need to belong to a club and be obtain a competency certification, the authorities also do background checks. a few years back all the white people had their licenses suspended and they has to re-apply most of them just handed their guns in. the problem is the criminals now have the guns, and the law abiding guys don't... so they few that have guns feel pretty strong bout it. I don't know what happened at Oscars house, but what I can say is that, I live in one of the most violent places in the world. home invasions, hijackings and rapes happen in all areas, crime has become worse since the apartheid regime, and I live in fear. I cant blame people or arming themselves.my uncle was murdered for his pickup truck a few years ago. my dad held at gun point in his business, my brother hijacked, my sister mugged at gun point, my aunt shot two perps hacking through her door with an axe... the list goes on... maybe the black folks are getting revenge for the past...
One does wonder about the hour of the morning and when the girl arrived. And why? Maybe there's phone records to partially explain why she even arrived there near 3am. Or had she been there and left or changed her mine. Had there been some disagreement. Or did he really fear an intruder--that this pretty darn good marksman, shot at and hit 4 times!! Such a sad event I would never have expected to wake up to today. Everyday seems to bring a new horror lately. Adding to this--I think ridding the ultra violence we have in movies and even music would maybe help to not pollute and stimulate these fragile minds. Taking guns away from criminals or potentially violent people would NOT be possible. Guns will exist for them--always.
Those who are dating a gun owner should plan ahead and be very careful. The best thing to do is drop your date slowly and cautiously because your date can turn violent quickly when rejected. The second best thing to do is arm yourself and practice shooting with it. A date with permit to carry concealed weapon is a lot more dangerous. So you too has to carry your weapon at all times.
you don't accidently shoot someone four times, that's absurd. The fact that there were other "domestic" incidents would tell anyone with a brain he's a hot head and the liklihood it's an accident is laughable. Maybe he an OJ can team up and form a prison olympic team
The liberal CBS govt sponsored anti-gun agenda was on full display when the reporter for this story on tonight's broadcast said that South Africa is "..a country awash in guns.." without mentioning that it is because SA is a country 'Awash' in violent crime by gangs and hordes of thugs who oftentimes openly roam the streets in search of victims to carjack, rob, rape and murder. Get your head out of the sand and visit a news website not controlled by the lying, leftwing, liberal media and get the truth for a change.
It's apparent that individuals like you will never understand unless some sort of mass shooting horror visits you or your family. That's the problem with conservative rednecks. We can lie a country into a war that costs 4500 soldiers their lives....as long as those soldiers aren't from any of our families. We can out a working spy....as long as that spy isn't my daughter. We can party and ignore what Katrina has wrought in New Orleans, especially since no rednecks or family members live there. We can profit from an economic collapse of our doing as the rest of the nation reels in unemployment and foreclosure, because this is who we are. And now, we can hide behind the 2nd Amendment so we can hold onto our assault weapons.
And to top it off...we can blame those who disagree as either being liberal or as being brainwashed by "liberal media." My God, it's like debating a child.
