These men are grasping at straws. They do not want to be nullified. They do not want those that they worshiped to be humanized. It is understandable. They were under the spell of the system. While at Penn, they were the reigning royalty. It is just that thinking that caused the problems to begin with.

Penn State is a university - for learning, sports should be 2nd, and sadly for the last 2 decades, it has been sports, more importantly - football, then education.

Athletes should never be revered as heroes. They are NOT.

I'm pretty sure that the report took EIGHT MONTHS to compile. That's not a rush to judgment, nor is it hasty, and that's not a failure to consider facts. That's about as complete as you can get. Some things will never be proven outright. CSI is great on television, be don't always have DNA and enhanced video of the crime. Sometimes you just have to recognize the truth from the overwhelming non-video evidence.

Cleaarly, and like the family, they are still in the thrall of the football mystique. They - and we as a country - need to grow up.

To me, child rape is worse than murder. NO excuse, if the guy was even suspected, it should have reported. They no only allowed the raping to continue, but gave this piece of crap more opportunity.

Pedophile State U should have been given an eternal "Death Penalty".

Franco should rot in jail with the rest of them if he believes that football and his Precious Lying Coach were not complicit at the very least.

If you think dying is better than being abused, you're a moron. You can't put your own murder behind you and move on with your life. Don't talk stupid.

I also find it pathetic that people like you who only care about revenge (and not justice) think that of a university of thousands of employees and tens of thousands of students should take garbage like your childish "Pedophile State U" due to the actions of 5 or 6 people.

I can only hope people judge you or your place of work equally as harshly over the actions of one or a few.

And sure, why not, lets lock up everyone who isn't a vengeful as you are. All, based on an investigation that was too quick and too assuming with some very circumstantial and incomplete evidence.

Ah, the emails weren't clear enough. Surprising those involved didn't leave a blazing trail of email evidence that they knew their buddy was a criminal. Maybe that was in their minds as they wrote each other..d'ya think maybe?

Nice try guys. Maybe coach appreciates your loyalty.

No one has accused Joe Paterno or any of the other disgraced Penn State leaders of deriving any vicarious sexual pleasure from aiding and abetting Sandusky's perverted, serial theft of his victim's childhoods.

It was just business for them...they just didn't want it all to "get out"...which means they're not actually pedophiles themselves, right?

I doubt very much if any of Sandusky's young victims...especially those abused AFTER Paterno and the others in Happy Valley KNEW EXACTLY what he was doing...would appreciate that vague distention...

"Hail Mary" Franco Harris made a great Superbowl-winning play for the Pittsburg Steelers once...

But this latest play...was not so much great as it was coldly indifferent to the kids they were ALL guilty of victimizing.

Your love and loyalty to a great former coach and mentor is laudable, Franko...and probably to be expected...but being an apologist for the enabler of a pedophile and sexual predator does not do you or anyone any credit

There are other instances that corroborate the conclusions that aren't included in the report. For example, in the early 2000s, the University of Virginia was looking for a coach or athletic director and Sandusky's name was floated in the media. It was soon and solidly knocked down. Apparently, Sandusky's reputation was known far outside the athletic department at Penn State.

Also, the local prosecutor, Ray Gricar, went missing in 2005 and has never been found. The wild speculation about his death is that he was killed for not prosecuting, but in a small town with a big and potentially costly problem, he likely would have been disappeared for seeking to prosecute.

Forget Jake, it's Chinatown... but Chinatown was a fictional film. The Jerry Sandusky case is real, and far, far worse.

..and don't forget about those saucers people have been seeing in the sky lately.

Your "corroboration" is a real reach.

The critics say the report placed too much weight on a few e-mails, one e-mail that a recipient says he never remembers seeing. Why is that not a wild conspiracy theory about fabrication in your mind?

You should be able to independently verify the rumor that Sandusky was a possible choice for a UVa position in early 2000s.

And read up on the disappearance of Ray Gricar. Maybe aliens abducted him... but I doubt it.
