You reap what you sow...McNair sowed the seeds of adultry and now he has reaped the whirlwind...I feel bad for his wife and children...now they will have to live with this event the rest of their lives..Let this be a lession to all men and women who cheat on their spouses...sometimes the person you hook up with, is or can be very dangerous and not only will this cost you MONEY, it may also cost you your LIFE.. I have friends who have said if they could find a way to punish their cheating spouses, and I don't mean divorce...and get away with it, they would...Me, I would sue both parties for every dollar they had and every dollar they were going to have in the future. I know people who cheated, divorced, married the person they were cheating with, died, and the ex got everything, including all the life insurance...You cheat with a married person, you loose more than just your morals...

"Before shooting herself, she sat next to his body and "tried to stage it so she would fall in his lap," Serpas said. She did, but her body slid to the floor and ended up at McNair's feet. The gun was found underneath her. "

The only thing needed to make this more tragically hilarious is if McNair had defecated while being shot and that she had slid down into the resultant fecal matter. LOL What a loser==to do all of that after only knowing a man for 6 months==what was she a gold digger on speed?

"But for all her charisma, Palin remains a decidedly mixed bag politically. While she remains wildly popular with many conservatives, she's held in contempt by many Democrats and has had little success winning over independents, who make up a growing share of voters in many states."

Little girls should learn this and learn it quickly: men very rarely leave their wives for their mistresses. As my mom used to say: Men marry a certain type of woman--that is the one they want to be publicly associated with and who they want to genetically bond with to have their kids. Men choose another type to have quickie sex with. That kind may be ugly or pretty but almost always their relationship is limited to sex and hidden from everyone else. Then there are mistresses.

A mistress is similar to the hidden woman except the man usually likes her enough to keep going back for more but not enough to divorce his wife and disrupt his household. Men often have great affection for or even love their mistresses but usually not enough to change their lives for them. My mom said there was several reasons for this:

1. The man only wants a fun play thing who he can parade around certain people, but he does not want his 'fun' to ever mix with his real life

2. A man often chooses a mistress that is the antithesis of his wife. His wife is for prestige and his public life, his mistress like a dirty porn magazine is for taboo like fun. Most men want both women and they want them just the way that they have them--they would love it if the women could just get along and accept each other's roles.

3. Some men are so insecure that they need to prove their sexual desireability and prowess with everything with a hole in it. This is a serial cheater--for this kind of man, it does not matter how wonderful his wife is or isn't...the deficit or hole is in his own personality and he will run after skirts until the day he dies, no matter what is on offer at home

The bottom line is that those who chase married men should know the score--no matter the man's sob story or complaint, especially if there are race, class or family differences---look for a man to use the mistress but not to marry her--why should he? Men also console themselves into thinking that a woman with so little self respect that she would involve herself in a cheating relationship would also, by extension cheat on him if she got the chance and so--use that as an excuse not to marry the woman--no matter how many years they lie and tell her they are leaving their wife.

Odds are, they will not be leaving their wife, but they will get a new mistress. If the girl shot this man, it may not have been fear of him cheating with another mistress, but fear that he would never leave his wife and that he was just stringing her along.

What The Hell, Have you people no sense at all????
As much as many would like to believe that this whole sordid mess is all wrapped up in a nice little package with a bow on top, there's just too many loose ends.
The initial 911 call sounds like it is right out of a predictable mystery novel. Why would McNairs roommate, a sports memorabilia dealer, not make the 911 call himself? Why would he call McNairs "best friend" instead who then rushes over to "discover" the bodies for the "first time" and that is what he said on the 911 call, that HE found the bodies. Was he covering for the roommate? Why make a point of saying that? Why not say the truth, that he was called by the roommate who saw the bodies first? The roommate told the police in his statement that "he went into the kitchen first before he went into the living room and saw the bodies then". Didn't the roommate and the best friend get their stories straight or what? And why would they need stories, why not just tell the truth?
In addition, there is NO WAY a conclusion can be made that Steve was sleeping (sitting up?) nor that the 20 yr old woman was trying to position herself on his lap before shooting herself. Both are speculation and just too neat a package with a bow on top. Now if a third party were there who had the gun, the first thing they would do would be to tell a big man like McNair to sit down, at gun point. Then that third party was able to neatly pop two slugs in his chest and 2 in his head. What happened to the young woman after that could have been staged by popping a cap in her temple and then planting the gun under her. Whatever is going on with the Nashville "Investigators", whether they are incredibly naive and inexperienced or engaged in a huge coverup, their "findings" are insulting to the intelligent mind.

LESSON ONE: don't cheat on your wife
LESSON TWO: don't cheat with homely women
LESSON THREE: don't cheat with homely, gun-toting women

My sister-in-law dated a Ba'hai for awile. He was okay but she broke things off because he was a control FREAK. I guess maybe it comes from the religion??

What a dog! The guy has a wife and kids and 2! count em 2! other women on the side. Mistress #1 obviously had heard the prase "he oughta be shot." He says he is leaving his family for her....right! Men will do anything for sex won't they. What a selfish bastard he was to make so many lives miserable.

sioux4life1 - Your statements are as bad as the guy you are criticising. How can you accuse him of being a Republican simply because he makes statements that you don't like. Your statements are equally offensive.

YCan't I was responding to IThoughtItWasFunnyNot as for you I sense a big helping opinion of racisim, and I quote "This woman comes from a culture of murder, violence and intolerance. They blow each other up and kill each other constantly over there. This does not surprise me in the least." Just because she has a arab sounding name doesn't mean that the entire culture is inclined to kill. Sounds to me that your a sexist racist bigot who's life isn't really worth any fuss. AS to over there, do you have anyone who's over there? I do fool. AND as to education your quips aren't any better than you neo nazi republicans regularly can spew. Have a nice day. oink oink

He deserves a costly divorce. He's already been publicly ridiculed and his political career is over. At least he's alive to suffer for his sins.

Perhaps if McNair would've stayed true to his vows and the public persona of such a devoted husband and father, this would've never happened. If he was that caught up with her, he should have done the honorable thing and divorced his wife. His buying this girl a car a short time before the crime doesn't make sense and implies that the adulterous relationship was going as well as any adulterous affair goes. Maybe the girl couldn't handle the fact that perhaps McNair had buyer's regret and wanted to end the immoral relationship. The real victims are McNair's wife and kids and the media and general public needs to focus on that.
