Clemens is lying like h-e-l-l and will, unfortunately, now be prosecuted for perjury.

Whether or not Clemens is lying is HARDLY worth the attention of our Congress. If he wants to lie and use drugs - LET HIM. Let baseball deal with him, if it wants to deal with it at all. IT IS MEANINGLESS.

READ OUR LIPS CONGRESS: WE DO NOT CARE.

Get back to real business, please. If you can.

Who care is he used steroids or not?

Pay people millions and millions and treat them like gladiators of course some people will do whatever and people act so shocked-

Methamphetamines flow by the tons across the Mexican border please spend our money fighting that.

[Roger Clemens is lyeing and most of you know it. It has been mentiond quietly in Texas Sports since he was at texas ... PLEASE!!!!!!! and why is it so easy to believe Bonds was committing perjury but the "Great White Hope" is not? I think we all know the answer to that one][Posted by battyellison at 04:40 PM : Feb 13, 2008]

they''re all innocent until proven guilty. at least that''s the way it used to be in the great us of a. oh ... those were the days.

where''s those needles that the trainer allegedly kept for six years ... and who keeps used syringes and needles for more than 30 seconds after they''ve been used ... besides an addict?

Clemens is as dirty as the ole grey mare, rounding the far turn, in last place, in the 7th race, on a muddy track. Didn''t we get a glimpse of his ego and "character" when he threw a broken bat at Mike Piazza? Or, during his countless team desertions and "retirements"? Truth is not about to divert this guy''s quest for a plaque in Cooperstown.

I do not know about the majority of the voting population, but I for one did not send our congressmen (women) to investigate who did or did not use steroids.

AGAIN - our congress has nothing better to do than to try and moderate this venue of "entertainment"?

What''s next - pro wrestling?

It has been mentiond quietly in Texas Sports since he was at texas ( look at how big he was fresh out of college ) then you look at the senators on the pannel try to throw all the blame on the trainer because Roger didn''t know anything about steriods he was completly stupid on the matter? PLEASE!!!!!!! and why is it so easy to believe Bonds was committing perjury but the "Great White Hope" is not? I think we all know the answer to that one

FYI: Sports Betting is at the root of all this. Baseball has refused to clean itself up. With $$$ billions wagered on all sports, Congress is required to at least cast its critical eye in the direction of any sports organization that appears to be operating with impunity and impropriety.
The only sport that deserves our respect is that make- believe world of Profesional Wrestling because the WWF and such make no pretense that it''s about anything but entertainment.
The idea of real competition went away when the numbers rose to millions. These are jocks. Most of them are morons. Did you expect; that the money wasn''t going to corrupt these egomaniacs? If you bet that: YOU LOST! Time to pay up!

[Make poster bill boards of photos and names of the doctors who prescribed it to the athletes. Don''''t stop there - yank their medical license because they probably were placing bets on their patients too. Follow the money trail folks.
If athletes and trainors can be prosecuted and at minimum publicly scandalized, the doctors should be at the top of the list! ]

i take it you don''t like steroids.

why don''t we hang a burning tire around their neck in the town square. or how about public tasering ... everyone who claims to be ''wronged'' by baseball player steroid use can electrocute the violators.

i say we channel all governmental efforts toward this issue ... take some money from the ss surplus and re-deploy a couple of divisions from iraq to stand by at all professional sports events.

how about a national program for developing a device ... like a police speed radar ... that can detect muscles enhanced by steroids ... just point and prosecute.

send them all to guantonamo ... classify them as enemy combatants.

I think congress should investigate rock stars to see if they used any illegal drugs while they were making their albums.

So now I know why the Economy is going to hell, the War in Iraq is still being fought, and we almost pay $4.00 a gallon. Because congress has nothing better to do then investigate if MLB folks use steroids. If they did, good for them because I took steroids and it didnt work for me aparently my body got bigger but i still couldnt hit a curve ball, especially not after being set up with a fastball. How steroids hurts the game is beyond me, this isnt the NFL where getting bigger means getting stronger which translates to harder hits. This is baseball and if somebody takes steroids its to recover and prolong their career. i am sure Selig wont return Clemens money after he should have retired. The number of sales out the guy provided during his last three years. Give me a break find out why George and congress lie and forget baseball, if they want to do it, fine its definately not going to translate to more home runs or strike outs, just a better body.

McNamee wanted to blackmail or disgrace Clemmens and it showed.

This should be a good lesson for atheletes to learn about entering a relationship with a trainer. They are not doctors or lawyers, and can mislead you and inject HGH, steroids and other illegal substances. There probably are honorable trainers out there, but they are exempt from confidentiality laws that exist for doctors and lawyers to protect their clients.

McNamee might qualify to shine shoes for the pest control technician that works for my neighbor, but I don''t want him close to me, and hope no one trusts him with a syringe again. He is as low as the common dope dealer.

The fact that this has gone this far is obscene. Trial by Media is becoming all to common. I''m not even a Clemens fan but to be convicted by the words of a man like McNamee is shameful. What ever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty? If Clemens comes off as angry or arrogant...who can blame him. A lifetime of accomplishment down the drain based on the word of an admitted liar and criminal. It''s sad that this country has gotten to the point that we seem to enjoy the "fall from grace" of a great athlete more than his accomplishments. Sad

Theres a truth to be realized here.. and thats the spirit of competition. Its not holy..
Posted by hoygie3 at 03:44 PM : Feb 13, 2008

When money is involved, nothing is holy.
If betting and gambling on winners is involved, plan on steroids and performance enhancing drugs too.

Clemens is an arrogant, deluded bozo. I''''m sure in his disordered mind he''''s convinced himself he''''s never juiced. Just like that SOB Bonds. They''''re both a couple of cheaters and I hope history remembers them as such.

I think we are all going to find out that there are A LOT MORE cheaters than just Bonds or Clemens. That is what this expose'' is about.

It''s over. Using steroids to enhance sports performance is going down and out. From the bike racer in France to Baseball in America. It''s over.

Trainers beware. Trainers and players should be the second to be prosecuted. The first should be the doctor/s who prescribed it. Steroids cannot be purchased over the counter. I think we should follow the money trail...to the doctors office.

When this thing first came out, I believed Clemens.
I no longer do. He''s a determined liar. Period.

"If you can''t do the time, then don''t do the crime."
This is not about a crime so much as it that he just doesn''t want anyone to know he cheated with drugs to enhance his performance. HEY WORLD:" CLEMENS CHEATED! HE''S NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS THE DRUGS MADE HIM BE!!
