- Could the reason Democrats are now issuing calls to "tone down the rhetoric," after a weekend of a baseless accusations and 8 years of absolute hatred thrown at Republicans, conservatives, Tea Partiers and anyone slightly right of center, be that evidence is coming out that it was their hate rhetoric that might have affected this mentally unstable "pot smoking liberal?"

- Political rhetoric, or criticism of socialist policies. this is not the fault of tea partiers or repbulicans. The dems will jump on it though and used it as another political wedge.
You cannot stop things like this. These people are everywhere, and there is no telling what sets them off. Most are young kids with social issues.
Now the lawyer steps up to defend this guy? Why should there even be a trial. What is wrong with our justice system. Apparently the lawyers seeking fame, not justice and not protecting the innocent. - Reply to this comment

- OMG--These politicians have never found a tragedy that they couldn't exploit. This man was mentally deranged, and to blame it on rhetoric is absurd .You could say the books he read caused him to do what he did, but that would be absurd too. The fact is he is a very ill individual, if it hadn't been a politician shot--these morons like Hoyer wouldn't care about the event. He shot 19 people--only one was a politician, all the others had hopes and dreams and possible wonderful futures that were taken away too. Mental Illness and the laws regarding those afflicted with it, are the only things to blame here.

- For it is Democrats who use words like "political enemies". Obama himself talks about "if they bring a knife, you bring a gun" and such as that. Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton were very well known for how they destroyed people's careers and political lives. They were even guilty for the suisides and murders of their own administration personnel during their eight years in office. And they are still around. There is a single Republican who was in office that you ever hear of, or from. None are in our government as any part of Obama's administration. They don't run big fat NGO's like ACORN or the like. When they leave office they go on about their lives and don't bother anyone. Ohhhhh, but Democrats. Noooo, they've just got to stay, and stay, and stay. You can't get rid of them no matter what you do unless they die of old age or disease from old age, or something of like nature. It seems to me that the people who want to control our lives and have the most incendiary language are the Democrats. They can use racist terms and words right on the TV news and nothing happens to them. They are caught with girlfriends, interns, boyfriends, and god knows what and nothing happens to them. They laugh it off and the media and all libs laugh right along with them. We try to read the Constitution and we're accused by the likes of Hoyer and others that we're committing some kind of crime against the government. Now it seems that this guy was a leftist who like many on the left believe that Obama isn't left enough. And Obama is a Communist. How much more left can the man go? There isn't anything more left than a Communist unless Obama's detractors think maybe we would be better off if we could get some exSoviet KGB to run for President. And you know what? Liberals would vote for him no matter how bad he was because they believe that now is the time to do all the damage they can to bring this nation down even if it's letting loose their worse nut jobs to shoot their own representatives if it meant that it would be all the bad publicity they would need to bring about a down fall to the right. I wouldn't put it pass the left one bit. They've committed worse in the past, making a phone call to one of their whack jobs would be simple.

Nobel "Peace Prize" winner Betty Williams publicly stating her desire to murder President George W. Bush. British film makers Gabriel Range and Simon Finch making a 2006 movie fantasizing about assassinating President George W. Bush. Alec Baldwin urging the murder of Henry Hyde, his family, and ALL Congressional Republicans and their families on national television. David Guy McKay and Bradley Neil Crowder, two America-hating left-wing terrorists, were arrested by the FBI after conspiring to firebomb Republicans at the 2008 GOP Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. NPR commentator and ABC News reporter Nina Totenberg wishes death by AIDS on Senator Jesse Helms and/or his grandchildren. Julianne Malveaux publicly wishes death on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
