- Every time there are tax cuts, wages go down or stay flat.
The tax rate MUST stay progressive because the rich can afford a higher percentage of tax and still buy food.
Let's go back to a 91% tax on income over $3 million a year in personal income. EVERYONE will benefit again and those rich people will just have to rough it on that. - Reply to this comment

They are mad because the Republicans caused another Depression and they HATE that a (half) white guy is our President. It really is just that simple.

Sorry, you're wrong. While the Republicans have some blame the Democrats share half or more of the blame for our current situation. And stop being a race baiter. The only people I ever see bringing up the President's race are you on the left. Got a problem with his skin color do you? Sheesh. Grow up. - Reply to this comment
- So here we are in the midst of the Second Great Republican Depression and this bonehead does not want to stop the failed tax cuts for the rich.
Get out and vote. If everyone voted, there would not be ONE Republican in office. - Reply to this comment
- This question is for all of you conservatives out there. You rant and rave about how this country is going downhill, how we have gotten away from the constitution. What does that really mean? What exactly would you like to see done away with? How is this country getting away from the what the Constitution intended? What dept of the Governmet would you like to see done away with? What would you like to see changed and why? And how you replace or compensate for the dept that you did away with? You claim to want to "Take this country back" well, take it back from whom? and take it back to where?

- I have the greatest respect for you and your efforts Rinews. I do not understand you as of the same ilk as Koch/Murdoch or the captains of industry with their robber baron bonusses. Many times in my life when I needed work as a young man, I found people like you who could put me to use. I would hope that our laws would prosper you, but I do not believe, as I said, that those laws should protect greedy, less community oriented people or juristic persons should be entitled to those same benefits. I would think that your investment in the greater economic community is as protected as the robber barons and their lobbiests permit.

- Why do the rich cry about being taxed? Is it so much that they are deprived of anything. They make it up the next year.

- Here is the problem: I have a small business and when I have a good year I leave the money in the company to add more employees, buy new equipment, or just put it in reserve so that when times are bad as last year was, I don't (and didn't) lay anybody off. I however have to pay the taxes on this money even though i don't put it in my pocket, and have to pull enough out to pay the federal government. With the elimination of the tax cuts I will now pay more to taxes and will have less to add people, equipment, and to save for the bad times. At some point the small businessman thinks to him/herself why build a business up employing more people when the government takes more and more.

- You are simply wrong. I pay a higher percent of my income in US taxes than Exxon and most of the multi-billion dollar corporations. The top 1% now control almost 25% of the wealth and this has almost TRIPLED since the nightmare that was Reagan.
It is NOT their money, we let them exist for the common good and they can do better than outsourcing all our jobs and concentrating trillions in their offshore bank accounts.
I don't want YOUR money, I don't even want theirs. I want them to invest it back into society for the common good. - Reply to this comment

Anyone who wants to continue this tax giveaway does not belong in this country. They are not paying their fair share for the privilege of living in America. They should just get the heck out now and not come back.
======================================================================
People like you disust me. Where do you get off thinking you can just take another person's money. Who are you to say what is there fair share? They pay most of the taxes in this country. YOU are the one who should leave if you dont like it. Stop living off of other people's success and hard work. You pay your own way and fair share. Better yet, why don't we just stop this reckless spending spree once and for all? Your free ride is over. - Reply to this comment
