- Their 10 children were born here and are U.S. citizens. Both she and her husband are undocumented, and currently unemployed.
She said that her biggest fear is being put in jail and having her children taken away from her. Just the thought of moving scares their 12-year-old daughter Graciela.
"I think it's going to be my worst day," Graciela said.
Two years ago, this park was filled with families every weekend. Arizona was home to more than half a million illegal immigrants. Since then, at least 100,000 have left.

Nonsense. The thing that most benefits drug dealers is maintaining the status quo on marijuana. Legal marijuana as a controlled substance like liquor, and the vast majority of drug dealers will starve to death and go away. It looks like Democrats as well as Republicans are very adept at using scare tactics, drugs in this case, to try to make their point. - Reply to this comment
- Citizenship is NOT A RIGHT. It is a privilege. Check the LAWS on this. L. Gutierrez must be really HIGH when making those statements that Drug dealers will benefit from Arizona's new LAW. This is very embarrassing to know that we have a politician like L. Gutierrez. People, let's do what is right and punish the violators. There is a process and that process needs to be respected. You need to fall in line and take your queue. Respect the LAW and don't try to present a sympathetic play. I am not in favor of what is happening but the LAW is very CLEAR, crystal clear, CLEAR, crystal CLEAR.

- I can't believe that it is even a question weather on not ILLEGAL aliens should be granted some kind of rights. Yes they have the right to live JUST NOT HERE!!!!
There are so many bad effects that these ILLEGAL aliens inflict on our county. They take our jobs, they are violent, they don't pay taxes on the earned income, they send money out of the country. I'm sure there are dozens of other issues they create that I have not listed. Does anyone in this country know what the word ILLEGAL means? Ive worked with many ILLEGAL ALIENS almost all of them have bought a counter fit social security card, drivers license, or some other form of faked identification. What happened to our countries back bone? I don't know where it is, but most people in this country are too soft and I'm sick of it. This should not even be an issue a question the only thing that should be contemplated should be how to get rid of the and how to prevent them from getting in!!!!! - Reply to this comment

- I have seen the backlash from this Law, I am an American with Spanish descent and I do not have a problem with showing my ID, but I had notice that our local Mexican Restaurants has increase their prices and staff, our neighbor had to canceled a contract with their Landscaping Company and her Maid Serves, their rates had increase, Now a roofing company could not verify their workers status before they can work on her roof.
With the new Haiti immigrants moving in they will be taking over were the illegal left, a change of Services in our town. I am ready for the Caribbean cuisine and the Haiti immigrants are willing to work for less.

- It seems that the uproar in AZ is because certain individuals consider it racial profiling if they are asked to provide proof of their citizen- ship. Why not set up road-blocks, like the police do to "weed out" drunk
drivers? If everyone is checked, no one is being singled out, and those
