Not to worry, look to GE capital to come to the aid of small business. That's the latest ad.

There is a silent coup taking place. The GOP, tea party, right wing media bash Obama and the democrats every day. The right wing media, FOX being the leader, attack every day. They put out more books of hate and lies than ever now. Go to your book store and count how many right wing smear job books there are. 10 to 1 for every normal political book, I counted yesterday. Then the right wing elite have misleading polls taken every two weeks. After two weeks of hateful lies and deception, people will go along with the lies and answer misleading and deceptive questions. These polls are a joke! Thus, approval ratings etc go down and then the right wing media shout louder with more hate and lies. The cycle repeats every two weeks or so. This is clever how the GOP, FOX, etc do this but sad. The GOP will destroy America in order to gain power. This is a silent coup.

So Obama is "in a pickle". Major arms deal with Russia (check). Once in a century health care reform begun (check). Dealing with a radical, angry, self-destroying opposition (check). Steering towards very moderate courses of action on many fronts (check). I would say that the Republicans are desperate at this point which would not put the President in a pickle. Now the negative polls seem to be a direct offshoot of an enraged, right-wing radio and cable media propaganda campaign. Will they succeed? Probably not against this presidency.

Perhaps the President would consider supporting issues that the people of America want to see advanced? I know it's a radical idea to actually ask the President of the United States to represent the people of the United States . . . but it might be a good strategy, huh?

Oh come on now... your by line to get people to read the article is quite misleading "in a Pickle" really now..I read the article and that was just one statement but not the leaning of the conversation. Just report it don't need the flashy grab to get your article read... or do you....

Obama was in a pickle the moment he inherited this mess, including two wars, a bunch of political prisoners, a failing auto industry, a failing banking industry, and a general distrust of the government. Add that to his unfortunate name, his semi-radical background, his drug-using past, and his mixed heritage. Add to that the abandonment by his father and his mother, the fact he was raised by a grandmother who didn't like black people, and the fact that he won an election by a relatively narrow majority. Add to that a Congress that is for sale to the highest corporate bidder, and an indebtedness to the nation's unions, who expect to be taken care of.

I'd say he's in no worse shape than he's been in since deciding to take this job on.

Obama promised unemployment would drop below 8% if we gave him $900M to blow. He blew it, unemployment is 9.7%

I'll file this under "Silly Comments".
Cite your sources. President Obama has been consistent in saying unemployment would continue to rise through 2010, due to the deep Bush recession he inherited. He never promised a particular unemployment rate for April 2010. If you want to say he did, prove it. Be grateful moron Bush isn't still in power or we'd be at war in Iran now and in deep financial trouble funding his illegal wars.

I would very much like to see all of you folks' "jobs lost or gained" statistics and cite your sources. There isn't nearly enough attribution here, and the figures are all over the place. I ask, of course, in the interest of fairness and good spirit:)

Shame on the Republicans for not taking our nation's problems seriously. Tom Delay's Congress left the US with over $30 trillion in unfunded medicaid obligations...unregulated/unmonitored Wall Street nearly ran the entire planet bankrupt...and _now_ they don't want to go along with the sitting President?
