Comments on: Gingrich: Republicans "clearly have to change"

- The GOP is not going to change. They are going to attempt to repackage the message. They are anti-minorities anti-women, anti-union, anti-science, anti-teacher, anti-worker, anti-gay, anti-elderly and anti-young people. That doesn't leave much to be for, hence the loss of the last 6 elections. (Bush actually lost 2000 and wouldn't have run again in 2004.) They stole Florida in 2000 and there is evidence they did the same in Ohio in 2004
Their ideas remain, basically the same with the exception of their plan to limit and impede minority voting across the country and to try to tamper with the electoral college to skew the vote toward rural areas. Oh, yes they would like to stop Obama nominees is his cabinet and stop his court nominees, too. This sounds like a party geared up to lose more elections, what with the twisted thinking and the changing demographics. - Reply to this comment
- " We lulled ourselves into a belief that in the 2010 elections, because we had very good results in the midterms, that we could be a party of 'no' and run against spending, run against deficits. But in order to prosper and become a majority party we have to talk about what we're for."
They don't have to change their ways at all. They will be for being obstructionists. - Reply to this comment
- Gingrich: "...we also have to understand that we need to be a country of immigrants where Republicans are seen as welcoming, hard-working, competent people, not prepared to kick grandmother out."
... even if, in actuality, we are NOT welcoming, NOT hard-working, and NOT competent, and ARE indeed prepared to kick grandmea out. - Reply to this comment
- If only Gingrich were at all relevant to this. Actually he is, because thanks to the whirlwind precipitated by him during his brief tenure as Speaker, Republicans have become the party of idiots.
Talk about calling the kettle black. - Reply to this comment
- The problem isn't how they delivered the message. The problem is the MESSAGE.

- Twisted logic. When you start out with hate, you can never go back to the constitution or bill of rights, because they are not hate based
