Comments on: Rubio: President Obama "has no plans" for next term

- It became obvious to me quite some time ago as regards the Republicans plans for the economy after the recession hit and now with Romney / Ryan. You'd think that the presidents detractors in Congress would have at least given some of his legislative proposals a test run instead of 'preventing most' of them from even making it to the floor, via filibuster.
Hey, why not effect some of these policies and let the results speak for themselves? If they work, good for the Country and, if they're as bad for the economy as 'some' have been saying, they can always be rescinded and the president would have hung himself!
As it turns out, the bulk and most pertinent of the presidents policies were held up and he's getting blamed for the sorry state of the economy..............I think you get the picture. Yes, I do think it's time for a change, Mr. McConnell, Mr. Boehner, Mr. Rubio et al. MOVE, RATHER BEND OVER!!! - Reply to this comment
- Reading Rubio's comment tells me he has studied directly from Josef Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda. Take the criticism of your own position and turn it into the same thing as a lie against your opposition. The bigger the lie, the more often repeated, the more often the gullible will believe it. I heard Ryan talking about his "plan" -- we need to become energy self-sufficient. That's it. Oh yeah, and we want to reduce the deficit. That was his entire plan. Every candidate for the last 30 years has said the exact same things, but it's the details that count and until Romney/Ryan provide some details, this kind of statement by them and Rubio is just Josef Goebbels all over again. I don't even care if Obama has no plan -- until you DO have a plan, you are just a total hypcrite.

- You know what Mittens plans are Rubio? His plans are to privatize and sell the US Postal system to the Mormans so they can go door to door converting all Americans.

- Unavoidable as MWD in Iraq, Unavoidable as War with Iran, Unavoidable as WWIII. I take the do nothing Obama than trigger happy Romney/TP/GOP any day.
BTW, in GOP platform, they said they want no government in their life. Why they want the government butt in other country business. - Reply to this comment
- I think Rubio by mistake meant Obama has no plan. This is to say, no one knows which Romney is running for the office of Presidency of US two weeks from election. Nice try Rubio, but American people are not as dumb and stupid as the GOP base and its slaves.

- Stop lying Rubio. This is Obama's plan: He wants a budget deal that includes both spending cuts and tax increases. He has put forward rather detailed deficit-reduction proposals. The centerpiece is a plan that, when combined with cuts made in 2011, would reduce the deficit by $3.8 trillion over a decade, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Obama keeps insisting (rightly) that no deal can work without new revenue, and he is upfront that he'd begin by raising taxes on Americans earning over $250,000 a year. The president has also been clear that he wants to take on immigration reform. Obama wants to work on clean energy and upgrade the country's infra-structure. He wants to retool both our education system and the way we train people for well-paying jobs.

- Does anyone think we are where we should be? Hell no - BUT to change horses in the middle of a run is not good - it would mean the country would have to start all over again, not to mention the republicans taking women back 100 years, and damaging our economy even more as they line their own pockets not giving a damn about the middle or lower class! That has been fully evident over the last 2 years with the House of Representatives blocking every possible thing that would HELP move this country forward!
The Cold War is DEAD - we don't need republicans creating more wars! - Reply to this comment
- Mr. Rubio, simply put, I don't trust you. It doesn't matter to me what party you represent...you are full of yourself. Unfortunately, you lack the ability to see the big picture, and that scares the bejeebers out of me. We currently have too many just like you in Congress, and that's causing all kinds of problems for our country.
No offense, but you are just another empty suit putting in your time, earning your lifetime worth of health care benefits provided by my fellow Americans, while you screw us out of any worthwhile solutions. - Reply to this comment
- GOP prognostications, but it also comes with new substance for defining their dreams for the American future. I would like to read, just one day in the life of any GOP figure something that will address the GOP plans, at all state levels, how they will make things they made bad better.
All they do is complain, complain, complain and point fingers just like any child who had its lolly pop taken away from them.
Well, what matter is substance, and I felt the substance the GOP had with Bush, which they all try to hide under the carpet until they get the lolly pop back to suck the remaining sugar off of it. - Reply to this comment
- Don't change things for the worse, vote Obama.
Stop blaming him for unemployment. Regardless who's president, we won't reach Full Employment till Europe, 1st trade partner, recovers. AP (10/14/12): Housing defaults hit a 5-yr low. Country's biggest bank J P Morgan reports record profits: Housing market "has turned a corner." Largest mortgage lender Well Fargo earning record profits: "Real estate is getting better." Oil imports were13000 barrels per day, now 10500. Oil exports were 1,484 BPD, now 2,734 BPD, up 85.2%. Unemployment falls to 7.8%. A trillion in savings wrapping up two wars. Stock market touching ceiling. Banks and automakers making out like bandits. 2012 Deficit down by $207 billion, Govt spending down by 1.7%, military spending winding down. Working with the 2013 new Congress Obama won't raise taxes on the 93%, only on the rich 3%. We're going in the right direction. - Reply to this comment
