- Of course Obama won't compromise with the Republicans. He expects the Republicans to give hime whatever he wants. If Obama really wants to work in a bipatisan manner, he will compromise rather than have gridlock. The budget is a great example. We haven't had one that has passed congress in several years. The Democrats don't want a budget. That constricts their spending. Pure and simple.

- The debate has become ratios. One dollar in cuts to one dollar in revenue, no it is 2 to 1, no the GOP will not even accept 10 dollars in cuts to 1 dollar in revenue, they don't want any revenue at ALL!
The U.S. Treasury lost $600 billion per year in the crash contraction. This money has not come back, half of it CAN come back by letting the Bush tax cuts expire. Then we can make $300 billion in spending cuts by starting with $100 billion per year at the Pentagon. - Reply to this comment
- What he means is......he is the ONLY person who knows what is best for America. That is the most arrogant, ridiculous statement from Obama of ALL!
The man is nothing but a dictator......in control of America! - Reply to this comment
- Politics are a give-and-take, even Obama has mentioned sacrificing part of the "sacred cows" of Social-Security and Medicare if republicans are willing to raise taxes on the wealthy.
But instead of give-and-take, the GOP wants to "take, and take some more". - Reply to this comment
- The report from the Tax Policy Center said that in order to offset the revenue that would be lost from Mr. Romney's proposed tax cuts, a series of the tax breaks that overwhelmingly benefit lower income earners would have to be taken off the books — a finding that matches Mr. Obama's message that Mr. Romney is throwing the "middle class" under the bus to save the "rich" money.
Romney tax cut would hurt middle class - Reply to this comment

- SO Obama's idea of cooperation is appointments when Congress is in session, executive orders forcing the CHurches to provide contraception, ignoring Congressional requests for fast and furious documents, not enforcing the laws of the land by giving immigration amnesty, using executive orders to push EPA agenda of CAFE standards, restricting oil leases, and not approving the XL pipeline, plus insisting any budget include tax increases for the rich. His record: 42 months of 8+% unemployment, a record since 1948; labor participation rate at 63.6%, lowest since 1981; weakest recovery since WWII; 5.5 Trillion in new debt. He doesn;t deserve a second term. ROmney will do much better.

- I have yet to find any logical argument as to how a nation can tax itself into prosperity.
I have yet to find any logical argument as to how raising taxes on businesses will provide incentive for them to invest, grow, and create jobs.
...and no, fairness and envy are NOT rational arguments. - Reply to this comment
