Comments on: Rubio: Opposing abortion isn't about denying rights

- I agree that women who want an abortion should be able to have it.
I do not agree that they have a right to have me pay for it.
This isn't about greed, religion, sexism, race or any of that crap. It's about what is fair. I expend my life earning money to provide for my family. I do not expend my life so breeding couples can have recreational sex or have kids they cannot afford. Having to expend a part of my life to pay for their decisions and their actions is not fair, no matter what the bleeding heart liberal progressives say about it. Period! - Reply to this comment
- Putting an innocent person in prison isn't denying their rights, it is just an alternative way of viewing freedom.
Do you have to be completely insane to be a republican. - Reply to this comment
- And the back tracking begins ... Oh and news break, reducing taxes on capital gains, dividends and people making more than 250K does not benefit the rich either. These people are morons but look how many people vote for them ...

- Rubio, you really ought to cease and desist from trying to impress your particular religious beliefs upon everyone else in the country. When the First Admendment says "no laws regarding an establishment of religon" it means just that, no law either for or against. Do the Catholics have any prohibitions about telling lies about why your parents came to this country? Your party, in general, seems to have no prohibitions against lying at all, unless it's the other party doing it.

- REPUBLICANS: THE AMERICAN TALIBAN
Anti-science, pro-ignorance Republicans march proudly backward into The Dark Ages.
Republicans are not pro-life; they are pro-control of women. If Republicans can control women, they control children. The control of children will eventually allow control of everyone, as children mature.
Republicans place great importance on control of women and children because it is the only way they can maintain power. Brainwash children from birth to accept their authority and BELIEVE myth as if fact.
Republicans learned this from religion, which mastered control of women and children. No thinking adult would ever accept Republicanism or religion, if not brainwashed from birth to BELIEVE.
What else could be expected from cultists, whether Mormon, Catholic (Pedophilia, Inc.) or EvilGelical?
REPUBLICANISM: PARTY BEFORE COUNTRY
[Perhaps that is why Republicans are called "REDS".]
Come November, ABORT REPUBLICANISM. - Reply to this comment
- "This man is a personal role model to young men"
Really? And exactly how is Willard Romney a role model to young men?
A role model on how to bully the "different" kids in school?
A role model on how to dodge the draft?
A role model on how to use your daddy's name, money and connnections to cruise through life shirking all accountability and personal responsiblity?
A role model on how to destroy and loot American companies?
A role model on how to evade taxes?
Yep, great role model. - Reply to this comment
- Interesting - I embrace the body vessel - nourish, educate, exercise-keeping it healthy but it is the state who has the right to trump my decision making ability when it houses a life whether it was mutually conceived or a criminal act? Sorry, get out of my life and stay out. Not your right to decide - period.

- what strange planet does Rubio come from? This is clearly an attempt to violate women's rights. What these fat cat men are supposed to tell us what we can do with our bodies? Think that's defined as slavery.

- I support women and believe they should have the legal right to choose what happens inside their own bodies!! Believing that a Zygote is a person and deserves protection under a screwy PERSONHOOD amendment demonstrates the GOTea grasp of reality - ESPECIALLY, since these goofballs are PRO BIRTH, not LIFE! Once that Zygote becomes a human being they are on their own!!!!!!!!

- On the abortion question in general: No one is actually in favor of abortion. What pro-choice means is that you are in favor of legalized abortion. Big difference.
I actually sympathize and understand the motivations of the anti-abortion crowd. It is a tragedy to kill a living human fetus in a woman's womb. We shouldn't make euphemisms for that.
But how can you force a woman to go through pregnancy and childbirth? It's the woman's body and the woman's womb. Her rights are greater than the rights of the fetus living inside of her.
The arguments that the woman should not have gotten pregnant if she did not want to have the baby are moral judgements, not legal judgements. Woman get pregnant by accident all the time. Often it is not even their "fault"---i.e., rape. If people want to be judgmental about a woman getting pregnant when she didn't want to, then those judgments can be moral condemnation, but they cannot be laws that prevent the woman from terminating her pregnancy. - Reply to this comment
