- Both sides press Romney on tax returns
WASHINGTON - Some Republicans are actually agreeing with the Obama campaign on one issue: the need for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to release additional tax returns.
"He should release the tax returns tomorrow. It's crazy," The Weekly Standard's Bill Kristol asserted on "Fox News Sunday." "You gotta release six, eight, 10 years of back tax returns. Take the hit for a day or two."
"There's obviously something there, because if there was nothing there, he would say, 'Have at it,"' observed ABC News Political Analyst and former George W. Bush political strategist Matthew Dowd on "ABC This Week."
Republicans want Romney to disclose more tax records in order to make the issue to go away. - Reply to this comment
- The only thing weaker than the economy is Mitt Romney's campaigning skills.

- How it works...
So, for the past 30 years we continually reduce taxes on the job-creators, and they take that money and put it into growing Swiss bank accounts. - Reply to this comment
- Who cares about this. Our own government is having military equipment parts made in China. Isn't that outsourcing, not to mention a security risk for our country? Who makes these decisions, Congress, the President? Someone had to okay this. I think that this is a far bigger issue then rather Mitt Romney was actually running the company when the company made the decision to outsource or not. Obama is just trying to draw attention away from his failed economic decisions. I want to hear what the candidates are going to do.
I am sick of Obama trying to draw attention away from the real issues and I am sick of Obama trying to take credit for things that have had nothing to do with him. I remember when he showed up at one of our state universities trying to convince the students that it is because of him they have been able to go to college. No, those programs have been around since at least the 70s or 80s. He has done nothing for them, but these students don't realize this. He was just looking for votes. He is so dishonest. - Reply to this comment
- I smell bullsh*t, Kevin. Republicans go on TV spout (to be charitable) inaccuracies, and hope if they throw enough sh*t some'll stick. Apparently, Romney ' retroactively retired' in 1999.

- if romney had done anything illegal, anything criminal, he would have been arrested long ago. romney would have been arrested yesterday if obama ordered the doj, holder, to issue a warrant for romney assuming obama and his staff have proof of criminality. so far all obama and his staff have is allegations, innuendo, basically smoke and mirrors. it appears that obama and his staff are desperate knowing that romney is a threat and obama just might lose in november. absent proof against romney re bain, the people should focus on obama who has not lived up to his own hype and rhetoric of 2008 to the present day. if anyone is criminal bent, it is obama at this point. there is solyndra, fast & furious, spending one billion on military missions to overthrow qaddafi, giving palestinians 147 million. obama spending billions while millions are homeless, jobless, hungry, including children, here in the USA. if romney has done something criminal, then obama should put up formal criminal charges or shut it.

- Mitt, adhering to the bare minimum the law requires is a guaranteed way to convince EVERYONE you have something awful to hide.
But hopefully you're as stupid as you seem to be and won't figure that out until the damage has totally destroyed your campaign. - Reply to this comment
- It is real easy. If it was not Mitt Romney - then it was Joshua Bekenstein.
However, the real question that begs is;
what is so bad in 2000 & 2001 - that Romney must stay away?
The answers are Stage Stores, Kay Bee & eToys - Federal Frauds. - Reply to this comment
- I sincerely hope that Romney is charged with false reporting by the SEC. It might take years to go to trial, but the wait would be worth it to see him try his Etch-a-Sketch routine in court.
