quoting Fehrnstrom from above story:::

"...makes our companies stronger, more profitable and more successful." So where are the new jobs created here??

"No American jobs were shipped overseas..." So where are the new jobs created here??

When union wages price their company's products out of the world's markets, companies have two choices:

1] declare bankruptcy and go out of business, or

2] seek out lower priced labor to produce their products.

Remember, the largest aspect of production is labor, like it or not.

Obama had 3 1/2 years to fix the economy? Wrong! It took a year plus just to stop the loss of 750,000 jobs a month that Obama walked into. I guess the GOP have this magical plan to create jobs, and they don't even need to spend money to do it. Actually, the GOP can create jobs while firing thousands of Govt. workers and throwing millions off of unemployment & food stamps. Drilling holes, deregulating banks and dumping toxic waste everywhere would've fixed the economy is 6 months.

I can't wait for the GOP to take power, I'll bet their rhetoric alone could create a few million jobs in a week. They could call on Rick Snyder, who wants to bring in foreign labor from overseas to fill all of the top jobs in his state to create jobs. He says they'll start a business of their own one day and hire Americans. That's because us Americans are to stupid to start a biz and create jobs now, we need the Chinese to show us how. You think I'm making this stuff up, go read it for yourself.

I recently purchased a Rockwell tool and only found out it was manufactured in China when I opened the packaging. Anyone that doesn't understand how this has an effect on the American economy and wage earner is clueless. Sure there is profit associated with this activity, however, the "American" economic benefit is dubious. My neighbor benefits if he produces the product I purchase and it provides the means so that he may also be able to purchase the product. Investing abroad to enter a foreign market is one thing, manufacturing abroad and importing back to America for sale on American soil is "the" dubious economic ingredient.

And, could someone please explain to Mr. Fehrnstrom the meaning of details and specifics. Tax benefits, outsourcing, government reduction ... on whose back, whose sacrifice and who is going to pay for your wars ...? We demand LARGE print packaging, not small print packaging ...

Nice doublespeak by fehrnstrom, but the fact remains that Mitt Romney ran a company whose special skill was teaching other companies how to increase profits by shipping jobs overseas.

Now, because he wants to be president, he says that he will stop companies from doing that by raising the tariffs on items made by Chinese workers, the ones who got the jobs his company created for them back when he was running Bain Capital.

The irony is, of course, that tariffs are actually just taxes. Romney will raise taxes on goods which are being produced in China. Goods which would not even exist had not guys like him taught American companies to outsource American jobs to other low-paying countries in the first place.

So even more ironically, mitt romney plans on lowering taxes for those multi-national corporations he helped offshore jobs for, while raising tariffs (taxes) on goods from China so it's more expensive for the American consumer -- a punch to the gut of the middle class!
