Isn't it time to put 9/11 behind us and get over all this fear mongering? Let's face it; we live in a imperfect world where evil exists. Absolute safety is not obtainable by giving up your freedoms. Lets repeal the Homeland Securiy and Patriot Acts and move forward.

cbs4111, said; "A much more likely explanation is that Obama giving the order to kill OBL is one of Obama's only triumphs"--------------------

Could it be because this is the one area that the obstructionist republican party-of-NO had no say in?

I actually believe that if some in the republican party had the opportunity they would have sabotaged the project even if it meant the death of some or all of the seal team carrying out it out.

They have proven without doubt that making Obama a one term president is their number one priority. I am equally sure that the Pakistanis would have warned bin laden If they had been informed of the project ahead of time.

In 2007 Zbigniew Brzezinski told the U.S. Senate that the "War on Terror" was a "mythical historical narrative," in other words a complete fiction,.

Andy Rooney of 60 Minutes fame; a gifted writer, and a master of the English Language, was right IMO, by saying the phrase "War on Terror is complete misnomer" -- it makes me cringe every time I hear it! It makes about as much sense as saying 'War on Fear' or 'safe sex.' The phrase 'War on Drugs' at lest makes some grammatical sense, even if it's basically an ill conceived effort, and it has filled our prisons with non-violent offenders while the real criminals are let go to pray on us everyday! CBS the correct moniker is: 'War on Terrorism'-- so please stop using the incorrect slang form. Another misnomer in the News I also despise is 'hacker', (the correct term is 'cracker'), but that's another gripe for another time.

Hmmm...we're not safe, but we're safer. Are we safer than we would be if we weren't as safe as we might be if we weren't as safe? I wonder. Spin.

Bin Laden has been dead for a year now, did these "experts" just now figure out that we're safer because of it? A much more likely explanation is that Obama giving the order to kill OBL is one of Obama's only triumphs (I can't think of one single other Obama triumph), so the left-wingnut liberal press is going to put OBL's killing in front of us constantly between now and the election. It won't work, we know that OBL is dead.

Thanks Mr. President! I don't want to hear and BS that all our President did was to use w's policies. Remember what w said way back then? Just six months after 9/11 obviously the priority was invading Iraq.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." --Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002
