Let me help you out Mr. Schieffer:

"In response, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) spoke last week on the Senate floor, saying the United States will stop Iran 'with military force if we absolutely must.'"

http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/194463-regarding-irans-nukes-senators-keep-military-options-on-the-table

Perhaps you've heard of Mr. Lieberman...or does the Senator from Connecticut he not count as being part of the government?

Peace be with you.

Talk about a "failed assassination attempt" by Mr. Schieffer. You folks at CBS must really must be afraid of Dr. Paul to treat him so poorly. Ron Paul is an intelligent man - a man of integrity. Yet CBS either ignores him, or tries to twist & manipulate his words in an attempt to discredit him. Your actions are blatantly clear and all that you've accomplished is to lose credibility and respect. Shame on you!

Wow, I used to have so much respect for Bob, I can't say that now. What is CBS trying to do? Are they trying to get their audience to stop watching their News?

Well it's working if that is what they're trying to do. Bob should be ashamed of himself and CBS has lost all credibility with me.

I will be voting for Ron Paul Bob! Maybe CBS doesn't care if we watch their propaganda or not because the Government is going to bail them out. I think too many people are waking up to what News organizations like CBS are doing.

Ron Paul spanked Bob and that is the only thing that happened here.

Bob Shieffer has lost the respect I once held for him. As another commenter noticed, he talks for nearly half the interview, tries to insert words into Ron Paul's mouth, and is generally rude, gruff, grumpy.

As for national parks, as a former NPS ranger, I saw so much greed, corruption, favoritism, and cronyism during my service that I believe non-government conservation trusts can do a far better job managing our national treasures than the corrupt federal government that has sold them out to massive, multi-national concession corporations that exploit foreign workers and mine national parks of profits and ship them overseas, often contributing only a 2% franchise fee back to the park. See nps-reform.blogspot.com for more info.

During the Ron Paul "interview," Bob S. spoke for 3 minutes out of 7.5 minutes. I guess CBS can now claim that with the 89 secs from last week's debate they've given RP his due time. Journalism? What a joke!

I voted for democratic candidates for over 30 years, but next year, I'm crossing over to the only candidate who stands for liberty from the tyranny of militarized governmentism and corporations: Dr. Ron Paul.

I have had a great respect for Bob Shieffer over the years. I was shocked to see that Ron Paul, who I believe to be the most honest and knowledgeable candidate running for President from either side of the asile, was finally given a moment of attention. Shieffer however, introduced him blatantly apologetically acknowledging that Ron Paul has somehow squeezed into the forefront, so therefore, CBS is mandated 'at least' to give Paul a moment of time.......requirement met.

Ron Paul was eloquent in his rebuttals to Shieffer's ignorant and biased questioning, given the limited response time interrupted with slanted, insulting interjections. Shieffer IS the press; the press that has had control of government since the times of Hearst and before. It is repulsive and frightening to think where our country is headed at the hands of these masterminds of manipulation.

The simple answer for the mess we are in is this: fire everyone in Washington. Reduce term limit to one term period. This will place people we elect into their elected position of representing us, "We the people". As it is and has been since the birth of our country, the potential of our elected holding their seats indefinitely focusing much of their time, energies and money toward attaining lifelong membership (accruing unbelievable power and wealth in the interim through loopholes, privileged information, and benefits beyond common comprehension) only encourages propagating furthering their own self interests, broadening the divide of the now two classes.

Get them OUT! Move in one term representatives who are hired to do the job we ask of them, then they must step down! I believe that the actions taken by the selfish, greedy behavior of our elected as well as our press is really at the base of the Occupy Movement. Get to the root of it and root them out!

Ron Paul's position of Foreign Policy is the correct Policy as seen by MIT Professors.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/11/foreign-policy-experts-agree-with-ron-pauls-controversial-foreign-policy/

During the 2008 Debates, Giuliani was upset and requested Dr. Paul to retract his statements concerning the reasons we were attacked Dr. Paul responded with a reading list for Giuliani the very next day:

Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror
1. Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror by Michael Scheuer

Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism
2. Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism by Robert Anthony Pape

Blowback, Second Edition: The Costs and Consequences of American Empire
3. Blowback, Second Edition: The Costs and Consequences of American Empire by Chalmers A. Johnson

The 9/11 Commission Report: Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (Authorized Edition)
4. The 9/11 Commission Report: Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (Authorized Edition) by Thomas H. Kean

There is only One True Statesman running for President of The United States of America, Ron Paul.

Mr Schieffer needs to remember what his Oath to be a Journalist says and try to adhere to that instead of being so repugnant to Ron Paul because he didn't like that Ron Paul had the correct, supported and informed answers.

America's flawed policies lead to 9/11 - you call this news? I think those words came out of the terrorists mouths. Schieffer was clearly in over his head in this interview.
