America was built by immigrants.
Posted by jaeschneeman at 01:19 AM : Oct 13, 2008
***** Yes, America was built by immigrants, however, us earlier immigrants came.. LEGALLY! I don''t mind immigrants coming into the USA, but I do have a problem with those that break our immigration laws to get here. We should be a country of laws and justice, not an amnesty giving nation to people that broke our laws to get here! Do you realize how many millions of Mexicans living in Mexico that are waiting in line patiently..????? Do you not see us giving amnesty to people that illegally entered our country as a slap in the face to those waiting legally? The illegal immigrants need to go back to where they came from AND GET IN LINE behind those waiting to come legally!

Obama possess two qualifications, however, that eclipse all others:
1. He is not George Bush and
2. He is not John McCain

Bush and McCain have failed to exercise sound judgment in governing. The Bush/McCain policies are proven failures. They offer the American people no alternative but to vote for Obama.

Since you are so "new" to America or citizenship, we will cut you some slack for falling for Republican indoctrination. Obama does represent change--change does not necessarily mean good or bad--but here is wisdom which I''m sure your mother could agree with:

When a person is in a hole and wants to get out--the man who keeps shoveling down deeper is not helping.

Bush has put us in hell, McCain began his campaign and maintains he would like to keep us on Bush''s same course. Common sense would tell anyone that to dig deeper will net a deeper hole...or you might strike a main and drown, or if you dig deep enough, you could hit bedrock and get stuck--but be too far from the surface to get back out--or..you could hit magma and burn to death. NO matter what--digging deeper will never net escape or change or relief.

At the very least--Obama represents a new hell--fresher than the promised one Bush and McCain offer.

When a country wages 300 to 500million dollar a day wars for years, cuts taxes during war years and deregulates financial industries--they should not wonder at the hell that follows--it really is common sense--just like the devaluation of the dollar, the high inflation and the resultant inability of some to keep paying these bills and also their mortgages does not take a rocket scientist. McCain offers us to stay the course--most of us think that course is into the abyss. NO THANK YOU.

Also, as times get harder a lot of the bleeding hearts who support amnesty will change their minds when they lose out due to illegals being here. This is just a logistical and inconvenient truth.

*** Exactly... You know what happened when Reagan game amnesty to over 4 million illegals in the mid 80s,... millions more kept coming and saw it as a weakness in americans forcing its own immigration laws. If we give amnesty,... millions and millions more will come. If amnesty mccain gets elected, i''m moving out of the country!

*** Polls show that over 80 percent of americans are against giving amnesty to illegal immigrants... heck, even over 50 percent of legal latinos are against giving amnesty to illegal immigrants that came in illegally! However, mccain wants to give amnesty to over 20 million people... If mccain signed a pledge that would promised to not give a single illegal immigrant amnesty, that is the ONE way he might have a chance to win this election. I hate the idea of amnesty for illegals, that is why I hate Juan Mccain!

Well I am a centrist and I see Obama is the most center leaning. I don''t want someone who has been in the senate for 26 years and now doesn''t know where the hell he is leaning towards. I see Obama''s lesser years as senator as a positive qualification.

6) Claim that Putin''''s head was spotted over Alaska''''s airspace.

7) Find the switch for the internet and turn it off.8) Switch over to a Palin / McCain ticket.
9) Release ad attacking Obama for fathering not one, but two black children.

*** Too funny! I''m suppried that they have the country first as their campaign, I guess Palin forgot how to spell "Corruption First"

I would not trust Obama running our business, let alone this country. His candidacy is ludicrous.

And I would not trust the voting judgment or discernment of anyone who EVER voted for Bush.

Senator McCain even stated Senator Obama was a citizen in Wisconsin. I guess our only recourse is to believe you McCain Supporters are confirming Senator McCain lied again???

The exchange (CAPS ADDED)

"I don''''''''t trust Obama," a woman said. "I have read about him. He''''''''s an Arab."

McCain shook his head in disagreement, and said:

"No, ma''''''''am. He''''''''s a decent, family man, CITIZEN that I just happen to have disagreements with (him) on fundamental issues and that''''''''s what this campaign is all about."

That exchange took place supposedly in Minnesota.

I hate the fact that Mccain came out in favor of amnesty right away. You may have liked that, but that made me hate him!
Posted by noamnestymc at 12:57 AM : Oct 13, 2008

Who do you think will reg then leave?
I have always been against amnesty--ever since the 1980s.
When they granted it, I said it would be a green light and that many more would come in because of it. they told me (Congressional reps) that I was wrong and that the checks they put in place would stop the migration once and for all. it is sooo sad that many do not remember those first promises--because if they did--they would realize the promises of what will stop the immigration now, are the same promises they rolled out in 1987--checks for id and SS, fines for employers, a barrier--all pretended to be started, then disregarded when business said they needed cheap labor. But I have a feeling, this time is different, if we do indeed go into a deep Depression--then giving jobs to illegals or letting them stay will be treason, because it will be giving preferential treatment to noncitizens at a time when Americans need those jobs.

Also, as times get harder a lot of the bleeding hearts who support amnesty will change their minds when they lose out due to illegals being here. This is just a logistical and inconvenient truth.

*** People only want to believe what they want to hear from amnesty mccain. I am voting for Obama because I don''t care about a person''s skin color, I want the candidate that will help most people in this country, not just the wealthiest one percent! People that vote for mccain are too stupid to realize that mccain wants to let over 20 million illegal brown skinned people get amnesty, but they don''t care about that! The just don''t want a black president because they are just too blinded by ignorance... they would rather lose there jobs to a bunch of illegal mexicans.. I pity them, I really do!

What do you think Obama''''''''s position is on ...

Posted by noamnestymc at 12:46 AM

anything seems considerably more consistent than Senator McCain''s. What about McCain''s Mortgage bail out plan that dumps all losses on the taxpayers while protecting bank profits and CxO salaries and golden parachutes? By undoing the preventive portions of the original bailout bill designed to prevent Moral Hazard, limit CxO salaries and eliminate golden parachutes. True Corporate Welfare in the form of socialism or more likely communism.

*** Atleast Obama won''t give amnesty before 4 more years, he will want to get relected in 4 years..... I''m a life long democrat, but if he gives them all amnesty, I would vote for another party in 4 years! That is why I hate bush so much, because he has done nothing as far as forcing people back out! Those people broke the laws to get here, they should NOT be given amnesty! I liked Romney''s immigration plan, let more people legally immigrate into the country every year, but no amnesty for those that came illegally! but then he had to campaing at bush''s daddy''s ranch, so then I decided to vote for John Edwards in the Primary! I hate the fact that Mccain came out in favor of amnesty right away. You may have liked that, but that made me hate him! I like Obama''s plan, you should read his website... he says we won''t deport over 20 million people, but we aren''t going to let them get away with breaking the laws either! Like RFK, we are a nation of justice and peace, but we are also a nation of laws! Obama says he will let them register, and stay for 3 years, but then they have to leave after that 3 years!

Yep. we all made up our minds a while ago (probably during those Palin/Couric interviews. That''s why very few people will bother going to that link or paying attention to what you say--except the ones who were going your way--anyway. it must suck to be McCain and to know that the 25% he has--may be the 25% he never can increase. LOL

Look at the Gateway pundit it shows Obama pictured with the new Socialist Party 1996. When Obama''''s elected I''''m going to retire just quit working because big Goverment will take care of me. I''''ll let Rich Whitey take care of me they''''ll pay 50% in taxes.
Posted by luilun at 12:44 AM : Oct 13, 2008
*** Oh shut up with that socialst ***! Obama does not want socialism. He just doesn''t want walmart executives getting tax cuts that will make it even harder for small business to compete with walmart. 95 percent of small business make less than 250 thousand bucks per year. So who do you think benefits from bush/mccain tax cuts???? OIL COMPANIES AND WALMART! Those are the companies THAT DO NOT NEED TAX CUTS! Those are the companies that should be paying taxes! If bush and mccain did the right thing, and gave taxes to people like me that only make about 14 thousand bucks per year, it would be fair. I worked for the walmart executives, I know how corrupt they are!

After 8 years of this GOP DISASTER, you''d have to be an absolute IDIOT to want to elect John McSame.

Want 4 more years of Tax Cuts for the Rich? Out of control deficits? Hands Off Wall-Street de-regulation? Corporate Welfare? Needless War in Iraq costing Ten Billion every month?

Vote Obama!
