Fellow Americans, I love this country for all it stands for. We will NOT have a FOREIGN PRINCE as its President.

Posted by iamdemocrat at 02:05 AM : Oct 13, 2008

Several Questions:

1.did you vote for Bush in 2000?

2. Did you vote for Bush in 2004?

3.What do you mean when you say you love this country? What do you do to show that love?

4. Describe how you see this country.

5. What do you think this country stands for?

The fact is--those that proclaim love of country the most often are those who often have no idea of what this country stands for nor do they have a history of loving it. At least they don''t usually love it in a nondysfunctional way.

this is a real lawsuit, orange co. case # 2003 ca 5314. i am totally unrepresented, haven''''t been able to find a lawyer in 7 years. the judge is cynthia mackinnon, and if i could fire her i would have fired her four years ago. after all this time i still have no clue whether she is republican or democrat.

IF this is a real lawsuit then it is certainly far more than you are saying or admitting to. Fact is, lawyers will usually take any case if the money is apt to be there--they will even defend terrorist at Gitmo. So if no one will take your case in 7 years--odds are either the evidence or the case stinks to high heaven and though it has not been resolved in a way you would like--from a legal point of view, everyone you show it to must see it as unwinnable. YOu may not know this--but a lawyer can be fined and/or lose their license if they bring up a frivolous lawsuit or one where the evidence is sooo tainted they should have known better.

Presently McKinnon is running as a 3rd party candidate--but regardless--if your case can get no traction--it is not going to--unless you get in office yourself and pull a Palin abuse of power stunt--then even then it won''t work (Wooten is still a Trooper) Time for you to listen to the lawyers when they tell you why your dog won''t hunt.

if you review the 2004 Congressional hearings on Fannie & Freddie you would have to be blind and deaf if you don''''t see exactly who caused this whole mess, Posted by checkthepast at 08:22 AM : Oct 13, 2008

The "mess" could never have happened without deregulation. The bill concerning subprime was enacted in 1998. That was with a majority in Congress of Republicans NOT Democrats, now you say a bill came up in 2004/2005? When the Republicans had an absolute majority and controlled The POTUS, SCOTUS as well as both houses of Congress? so from 1998 until 2006, they did nothing? Propose bills to regulate while they managed to pass bills that deregulated? Was there ever a deregulation bill that did not pass during the Republican tenure?

Sorry dear, we think the Republicans doth protest too much. Left with a large surplus--spent within 2 years of Bush in office--then party on--wars based on lies--torture--mercenaries--outing agents--illegal wiretapping---more deregulation--ignoring subpoenas---deleting official emails---trying to make the Sec. of State sign corrupt docs on his sick bed---on and on--a totally wild, totally expensive neo con clusterfvck. If you think people are looking at the economy as an issue with no other drama--think again. MOst of us have had enough of this new type of sick azz America--we don''t want a police state--we don''t want a leader who needs immunity from war crimes protection, we don''t need another year of the Republican locusts.

Your post really shows your immaturity and ignorance. If you want others to hear your opinions, have a little respect for everyone that is the race to lead our country.

Thank You.

I might vote for John McCain if my retirement funds go back up in the next three weeks. The funds would only have to go back up $30,000. The Bush-Cheney, McCain-Gramm "deregulate everything" philosophy helped cause this mess. Bush-Cheney, McCain-Gramm should be held accountable for it.

Your retirement fund is going to be just fine, and I agree that those responsible should be held accountable, but if you review the 2004 Congressional hearings on Fannie & Freddie you would have to be blind and deaf if you don''t see exactly who caused this whole mess, and it wasn''t anyone with a (R) after their name. Even Bill Clinton agrees.

mccain is not a centris either. as a matter of fact, i''m not interested in voting for a centrist. i''m pretty excited about a change from the rightwingers (like graham) who ran this economy and our country into the ground for the last 8 years.

why would I care about what Graham thinks, or the new GOP butt boy Putnam (wow,,we''ve seen a lot your mug lately. Are you the new "golden chosen one" of your party??). You guys just don''t have a clue that we, as a nation, are DONE with your precious GOP. We tried it your way. Didn''t work. We''re gonna give someone else a chance, and see if it works out. It didn in the decade of the 90s...take a back seat, and shut up why don''t you. Losers.

Let''s always remember what Rev. Wright himself told reporters after Obama''s tepid denouncement of the man to whom he once donated thousands of dollars a year: Obama is a politician. He "says what he has to say."

Dear America,

Please join me in a 5 year effort. This November through November 2013 PLEASE VOTE AGAINST anyone that is currently seated in Congress, in State Legislatures, and even in local communities.
Our country is falling apart and "experience in government" only means they know how to line their pockets and do nothing except walk a fine enough line to get re-elected time after time.
THE ONLY WAY to get America back on track is to eliminate EVERY INCUMBANT SEATED TODAY.
NO EXCEPTIONS. Do not think that "YOUR" representative is different than anyone elses. THEY ALL MUST GO - EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM.
That is the ONLY way that our govenrment might get away from the "what''s in it for me" attitude so prevelant today, back to "what''s in the best interest of my country."
We need to do this NOW.

Vote like you are a Smart AMERICAN and not just a "D", because, by the way, that so called "D" stands for : "DUMB A-- change"

America deserves better than a person with 143 days on the job-- it deserves someone with: Experiance.

And, in this election it is the ''R'' that will bring that experiance. It is imperative you all ''Get that'' before the inexperianced extreme liberal marxist gets you f*ked.

Only the contamiated liberals see Obama in the "center".

I guess they forget to look at his actual voting record, but instead listen to the speeches that someone else writes.........and he reads.

Sad...............

Only the far right could look at Obama and see the far left... unless, that is, the far right were hoping to use Obama to push the country even further to the right. So far, that particular tactic appears to have worked pretty well for the far right.

"I want to hear McCain explain how adopting Bush''''s tax policies ("trickle down economics") are going to solve the financial crisis.

This should be a very interesting explanation, with or without a debate.

Posted by tuckerndfw at 04:31 AM : Oct 13, 2008"

If you cannot grasp trickle-down economics, no one can teach it to you.

Trickle-down was Reagan and it WORKED! Just read your history and stop referencing Wiki. Or the Globe.

I don''t believe the polls. Sen. Obama has more money, and has influenced day-to-day polls with his ads; but the actually vote is not a poll; and time and again the media says that while Obama may have a lead, it''s quite frankly very volatile and close, and if anyone could win, it''s John McCain; and that''s because John has something in true demand: telling you the true and leading in like manner.

McCain, Graham, and Republicans only want to jump-start accumulation of wealth. They have no clue how to jump-start an economy. Investors and financiers are NOT the primary source of wealth, jobs, or economic growth. LABOR creates products which WORKERS - when paid a living wage - then PURCHASE. Henry Ford understood this. Republicans only understand how to skim wealth, not create it. Productive U.S. jobs have been sent overseas to the cheapest labor markets - increasing the profit of investors while driving down wages for U.S. workers, which also increases profits. Get the picture? It''s the epitome of the Republican-style YOYO economy - you''re on your own. No health care, no pension, no decent jobs, no livable wages.
