Democrats Accuse McCain Backers Of Trying To Assassinate Obama's Character
- Negative?
The reason no one understands anyone anymore is because the US Government won''t turn off the "CircleinTheSquare". It''s theatrical, and destructive, as we''ve seen around the world. But it''s not a Theatre. And it''s got to end.

- GetRealTex or Stormy Texan or Rowdy or wellhell13, listen up: "We are an exceptional country," she (Palin)said on Face The Nation. "...we need to talk about the good things we do." She''s talking to YOU. Spiro Agnew (Republican) called YOU one of the nattering nabobs of negativism. Tearing another man down doesn''t make YOU any bigger. It just makes YOU lonely. If you don''t like what you see in this world, get a new mirror.

- Hey slownewsdays, I haven''t seen getreal go wild yet - must not have been reading the right comments at the right time. I would love to see that! Hope you do bring out those topics.
Getreal, you really do need to get a grip on things and come back to the real world. I know after 8 years of Bush, the real world isn''t a pretty place to be, but things just maybe a changing! We do have a lot of hope now. You can even help and do something to save yourself, getreal. Then you can say you helped change America. You can VOTE FOR OBAMA!!! Do what is right and sensible. - Reply to this comment
- Posted by pdchapin - None of the birth certificates on the web are a copy of his real DC or COLB. At the time that he would of had one they would of been the long form with race, religion, etc. on them that the current short form now omits. There are also on record two hospitals where someone filed for COLB after his birth in Kenya. The suit says, as his grandmother and sister that he was born in Kanya, nobody that I can see is saying that they didn''t apply or try to file in Hawaii after he got there.

Give it a break. They have the supplied the document that Hawaii issues (and the State Department accepts) to verify births (http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn227/Polarik/BO_Birth_Certificate.jpg). Hawaii doesn''t normal issue "birth certificates" but the "Certificate of Live Birth" is considered the legal equivalent. I''ve also seen a copy his birth announcement that was reported found in the Honolulu newspaper of the time. Regrettable I can''t find the reference and therefore can''t verify it''s authenticity. - Reply to this comment

"Now, you can have yourself a good time discussing the Keating Five case - preferably, somewhere else; nothing personal, but if we wanted to read what your candidate wanted you to parrot we''d subscribe to his mailing list - but you have to wonder why. It''s clearly in reaction to Ayers, which is... interesting, isn''t it? It''s... well, if you''re me, you can call it "petulant:" but if you''re a bit less partisan I think that "incongruous" is acceptable. This doesn''t fit the persona.
It also doesn''t really fit the Democratic narrative of the campaign, either. You don''t play with fire like this when you''re six ahead in the polls. And this is playing with fire: K5 is old, it''s been long since analyzed to a fare-thee-well, we all know the counters to it, and bringing it up encourages escalation - and we have more things to escalate with, as the entire right half of the blogosphere will point out to you at the drop of a hat. All of which makes it kind of odd that we''re hearing this now. I could see it if the race was tied.
So, did a nerve actually get hit? Not so much Ayers himself, but what the question of his involvement with Obama implies - which is that somebody is demonstrating that she''s not particularly impressed by Barack Obama? Is somebody having a fit of pique?
But that''s just layman psychology. Question withdrawn." - Reply to this comment
- tslogg, where are you coming from? Obama believes this country needs some help - in getting to be the best it can be. And, boy, after 8 years of Bush, the country needs a lot of help. We need jobs - good jobs - not the entry level service type jobs. We need to regain our respect in the world. Yeah, we sure do need a lot of help. The workers have been treated like *** - jobs sent overseas and workers left with nothing. You betcha we need help. Obama can help get us out of that mess that you republicans made.
Vote for Obama!!! He is what this country needs. - Reply to this comment

- We need a president who believes that our country is fundamental strong and our workers are the best in the world. As for Obama, he thinks our country is the worst in the world. He said he was our savior. Worst of all, and he made his followers believe it.

His grandmother says she watched his birth in Kenya, but now she has disappeared. His Sister has said she watched his birth in Kenya, is she the next to disappear. His sisters birth certificate says she was born in Hawaii, but she says she was born in Indonesia. - Reply to this comment

- Republicans -- all negative all the time. Republicans no policy discussions only old news. What was that Gov Palin was saying about Democrats living in the past? McCain''s view of reality remains trapped in the past and Gov Palin is the new McCain voice of the past.

"Barack Obama complains that he%u2019s been unfairly attacked for a casual political and social relationship with his neighbor, former Weatherman Bill Ayers. Obama has a point. In the ultraliberal Hyde Park community where the presidential candidate first earned his political spurs, Ayers is widely regarded as a member in good standing of the city%u2019s civic establishment, not an unrepentant domestic terrorist. But Obama and his critics are arguing about the wrong moral question. The more pressing issue is not the damage done by the Weather Underground 40 years ago, but the far greater harm inflicted on the nation%u2019s schoolchildren by the political and educational movement in which Ayers plays a leading role today." - Reply to this comment
- Getreal, you are so full of it! Obama and Biden are good upstanding citizens and have great family values. I wonder what you can say about McCain who ditched the wife who stood by him for a rich woman who hadn''t been injured and winky floozy Palin? No wonder hubby has to stick by her side - with her flirting with everyone out there - what a disgusting disgrace to the rest of us women who have worked to get to where we are.

The organization "Chicago Annenberg Challenge" founded by William Ayers.
"Senator Barack Obama learned how hard it can be to solve America%u2019s public education problems when he headed a philanthropic drive here a decade ago that spent $150 million on Chicago%u2019s troubled schools and barely made a dent."
"Mr. Obama has acknowledged that he is a friend of Mr. Ayers but has sought to minimize their interactions. Records show that Mr. Ayers, now a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, helped write the Challenge proposal. The records also show that he and Mr. Obama worked on the Challenge project together and that they attended some of the same meetings." - Reply to this comment
