Well, lets get back to reality here...if any member of the Armed Forces acts in a dishonorable manner, such as committing crimes in a foreign country to the embarrassment of this country, then he should be punished. Law breaking military personnel are not beyond critizism and should not be allowed to break laws in foriegn countries with impunity..... - Reply to this comment

1. Ummm, yes.
2. Yes, it does. As Commander-in-Chief, it is your duty to look at the bigger picture and not simply say "We''''re the best, we do everything perfectly, get out of our way." Granted, most have done this, but it is arrogant and erroneous.
3. Just read up on him. Don''''t see the problem. He was given a report and he stated his opinion. Do you not think that David Motari is a sick person, regardless of his Marine affiliation?

1. ummm, no -- you''re gonna have to post a link, or show me some proof on this one.
2. don''t you think he could of acknowledged the challenges they faced and continue to face, the sacrifices they are making with their lives, and being away from their families. Something about fighting for freedom, maybe. He''s the inspirational guy. That compliment is a pat on the head, not support. - Reply to this comment

- My Concern for getting into Afghanistan is what are our objectives and what is the plan besides actions similar to the way we handled Iraq. If we go in - do we have enough troops to complete the mission accordingly?
Either way, I sure hope our new President has a way ahead.

I say uneducated because they are not able to see exactly what the president needs on his cabinet. With that said, I am uneducated in this particular situation. - Reply to this comment

- An uneducated opinion? Mabey misinformed, or ignorant of the facts but how can you determine someones education based on choices? Sounds pretty elite to me.

In no way was that elitist. It would be an uneducated opinion to state that he should chose Jackson or Sharpton simply because of their work with African Americans. Have they done anything else? Would there be any reason to include them in his cabinet? Only he knows. He''ll make that decision when and if he is elected. - Reply to this comment
- 1. Obama condemned the ad calling Petraus a traitor.
2. Obama has said time and again that the military has done their job extraordinarily well. His problem with the surge is that it''''s being held as the only successful measure, when the opposite is true. Many factors went into the success that is being seen in Iraq.
3. I honestly don''''t know who that person is, I''''ll have to run a quick search on The Google using my Internets.

I believe that the Anbar Awakening preceded the surge. Get your facts straight. - Reply to this comment
- That sounds elitist. Who''s side are you on? We want to lose that label.

- It''s one factor, but the others could never have materialized without the security provided by the surge. I think Obama should just admit it. So McCain got one right, big deal. Obama just sounds like the rest of these politicians when he refuses to admit the point.

No, I meant why should he. Last I checked, the President decides who will be on his cabinet, not the uneducated public. - Reply to this comment
- I guess two black men on the same ticket would be too scary for white america to handle.

Jesse or Al would definitely be scary - Reply to this comment
- After everything Jese Jackson and Al Sharpton have done to advance the cause of African Americans I''''m suprised Obama isn''''t reaching out to them for cabinet positions.

McCain should also consider Jerry Falwell and Reverend Hagee for cabinet positions....since they have done so much to preserve the status quo.... - Reply to this comment
