Comments on: Kerry: McCain's Judgment Is Dangerous
Says Republican Candidate Is A "Changed Man" For Siding With Bush On War, Economy, Energy
- But today, on July 6, 2008, the Associated Press reports that
Saddam Hussein had a nuclear program
At the Tuwaitha nuclear complex just south of Baghdad
Which included 550 metric tons (over 1.2 million pounds) of "yellowcake", or concentrated uranium
And multiple devices that could be used in a nuclear weapon.
The AP does not say alleged nuclear program. It does not add "according to military experts." It simply says "Saddam Hussein''''s nuclear program."
That''''s pretty big news, isn''''t it? - Reply to this comment

In true Limbaugh fashion, Barocalto takes a thread of truth and weaves it into a fabric of deceit. The article is on the sale BY THE U.S. of a stash of yellow cake uranium that was the last vestige of Saddam Hussein''s pre-1991 nuclear program. No one ever denied Iraq had a nuclear weapons program at one time, but it was dismantled after Desert Storm.
But don''t take my word for it...here''s a link to the story.

I know it''s a stretch to expect you neocon apologists to be fair in your treatment of candidates, but the guilt-by-association door swings both directions. McCain''s hands are no cleaner than any other politician''s...and dirtier than some. So let''s agree that political connections are a flawed litmus test for a candidate''s qualification for office.
I think both candidates have things in their records that would qualify them for the job that one of them will win in November. My personal judgment is that the Republican policies of the last 8 years have been disastrous for the Republic and for the majority of Americans. Since McCain promises a continuance of those policies, I will support his opponent. That doesn''t mean I don''t see inconsistencies or flaws in some of Obama''s policies. I don''t expect perfection from a candidate, but I do value a candidate''s ability to own up to his mistakes honestly. Obama certainly did that in his books. - Reply to this comment

- Obama''''''''s favorite pals:
William Ayes better known nationally as the most notorious %u2014 and unrepentant %u2014 figure from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.
Lois Farrakhan-Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, best known for his racist, homophobic and antisemitic views.
Antoin "Tony" Rezko-charges of wire fraud, bribery, money laundering, and attempted extortion
Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr-Senior Pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ who gives racially and politically charged sermons, such as when he said, "God *** America"
Ali Abunimah- a well-known anti-Israel activist who reveals in a report that Obama said ''Hey, I%u2019m sorry I haven%u2019t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I%u2019m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.''Abunimah''s report included a photo of Obama with his wife Michelle seated at a table with virulently anti-Israeli Professor Edward Said and his wife Mariam
If Obama mixes with sleazy people, I guess you can expect his supporters to be of the same kind. - Reply to this comment
- Nancy Pelosi and Co. promised all you dimwitocrats the promised land back in 2006. Remember how great she said everything would be once they controlled congress?
Well, gas was $2.10 a gallon in 2006. What the hell happened??!! Now all you dimwits have to do is put one in the white house. $7.50 a gallon can''t be far behind. - Reply to this comment
- Why is this "LOSER" given a stage? He was promised a high office in the Nobama administration that will never come to pass. The man is a chronic habitual liar!

- "McCain got shot down, and spent 5 years in a POW camp. That''''s not experience."
Posted by zoe2006
In all fairness, that is experience. It gives him insights that others may not have. That''s why it is so unexpected to hear him supporting Guantanamo and the use of torture.
McCain''s POW experience should not be discounted. But in-and-of-itself, it is not sufficient to qualify him as the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces. A CIC must also be cool-headed under pressure. It may be that McCain would prove capable of that, but there are certainly some indications that might make voters question this as one of his strengths. - Reply to this comment
- Just to be clear John Kerry is an awesome man and would have been a great President. I notice the lying blowhards that lied about his Swift boat war experience offered to pay a million dollars to anyone who could prove their lies wrong. When they did the C.S. liars refused to pay!! The other so called conservative pubeican thing that I thought was C.S. - they handed our fake purple hearts at their big convention. How offensive is that????? That is an insult to anyone who ever earned one. As if bush or cheesney could. That''s the kind of people bush and his crowd are. And, Mcain is changing - for the worse. I felt like moving to another country. But finally people are wising up and kicking these idiot lying neocon and so called conservatives out. When Obama is prez all you bush supporters are more than welcome to go somewhere else.

- Old guy vs change: McCain, Obama images take shape
By ALAN FRAM and TREVOR TOMPSON, Associated Press Writers
WASHINGTON (AP) %u2014 Now more than ever, it''s the old guy against the agent of change.
Ask people to blurt out their first words about the two presidential candidates and one in five say "change" or "outsider" for Barack Obama and "old" for John McCain, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll released Monday. Those are not only the top responses for each man but the ones used most often since January, when fewer than one in 10 volunteered those descriptions.

Kerry did respect McCain enough to consider him as a running mate. But the McCain of 2004 isn''t the McCain of 2008.
As for Kerry''s service in Viet Nam, how does it compare with yours? Where did you serve? Many of our servicemen who served honorably in Viet Nam came out against the war. Openly disagreeing with your country''s policies when they are wrong is not treason. That''s what citizens in a democracy are expected to do when the policies of their leaders are off course.
