That''''s absolutely rediculous!! Can you point to ONE time.. just ONE time that "Trickle Down" or Supply Side Economics has WORKED? WHEN has it EVER produced a Balanced Budget?? The Fascist Republican''''s took over a country with a BALANCED BUDGET and a SURPLUS, even the Fuhrer said that. They took that to RECORD debt and RECORD DEFICITS. Inflation and recessions are expected but THAT kind of INCOMPETENCE this NATION can not afford more of... BUT that''''s EXACTLY what McSame has proposed!! SIEG HEIL BUSH

Fruit, there are tons of propoganda from each side. Look at what each of the new guys are saying and find out what they believe. Is McSame really the same or is it a ploy? Is obama really anti-american or is it a ploy?

Who are they and what to do they stand for, as is proven by thier track record, not a con man telling a story that does not add up?

t is not about what a republican did, or a democrat did. I notice you decided to neglect the fact that a democrat took inflation to over 15% and interest rates to over 20%. If we go back and forth with what he did or that other guy did it is fruitless.

What do these new canidates stand for, proven by thier track records? That is the key.

Eisenhower, A Republican warned us abuot the Military War Complex.

I remember as a kid the US would make TVs, Stereo equipment, Washers/Dryers, etc.

Now all the US is know for is Laser Guided Missiles and other military products. No wonder Republicans HAVE to KEEP a WAR going. It''s the only way to make their Lobbist friend happy....and RICH

Since Obama has fliped floped to back McCains position on being in Iraq until the job is done, is Obama''''s judgement in question also?
Posted by cbk16

What judgement? What has he ever done that shows he has judgement? what has he ever done at all? Someone tell me that, please.

Sen. Graham said "If we''''d have listened to Barack Obama, we would have lost." I dare him to tell that to the families of the 4,000 troops killed or the 30,000 maimed. We would not have those casualties if they listened to Sen. Obama. There would be no Al Quaeda in Iraq. The countless thousands of Iraqis would not be dead, creating a new generation susceptible to hatred and extremism. Had they listened then, we would not have trillions more debt, runaway inflation and economy-killing oil prices. They should have listened. Hopefully Sen. Graham and his ilke will be reminded loud and clear in November.

You have quite the imagination.

Do you think so many Iraq people were not in deaths doorway as it was with Saddam? He killed many more than have died since we went in there.

Do you think he would not have taken the first chance he had to send his death here?

Put your mind in gear before you talk.

Good research taotxzen.

Strange Republicans are supposed to be for fiscal conservatism and smaller government.

Yet, it''s been the Democrats that have balanced the budget, had surpluses, reduced taxes (for the lower and middle classes), and reduced government budget.

Who thinks Kerry has the ability to question anyone else''s judgement. Looking at his history... his judgement is more than questionable.

3 Facts That Could Change This Election (If We Share Them With Enough People)

by ihavenobias

Here are 3 Stunning facts that could not only change the outcome of this election, but with regard to the first two points, they could change the results of every election for years to come *if* we make enough people aware of them.

1) Over 70% of our National Debt was created by just 3 Republican presidents.

2) According to new research from Larry Bartels out of Princeton, real middle class wage growth is double when a Democrat is president compared to when a Republican is president.

3) 90% of Americans would pay less taxes under Obama''s proposed tax plan compared to McCain''s.

I want to keep this as simple and short as possible, so that the people who need to read this actually do. And again, I encourage you to share this information with as many people as you can, either by recommending and commenting on this thread, by emailing these points out and or by posting a link to this thread on the appropriate websites.

1) Over 70% of our National Debt was created by just 3 Republican presidents.

Go ahead, get out your calculator and add up debt by president/party. Apparently the party that claims fiscally responsibility thinks it''s ok to borrow massive amounts of money from foreign countries like China. Consider that we spend hundreds of billions of dollars in interest payments on this debt each year. That means more and more of your hard earned money is going to make interest only payments on what is basically a Giant National Credit Card. Not to mention the fact our debt/deficits are largely behind the weakness of our dollar, which in turns makes gas more expensive and creates other serious problems.

2)-According to new research from Larry Bartels out of Princeton, real middle class wage growth is double when a Democrat is president compared to when a Republican is president.

"...Even more remarkable, the real incomes of working-poor families...grew six times as fast when Democrats held the White House. Only the incomes of affluent families were relatively impervious to partisan politics, growing robustly under Democrats and Republicans alike...": http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/27/magazine/27wwln-ideal...

Here is a short summary of this research: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2008...

And here is a good, short audio interview with Larry Bartels: http://youngturks.wmod.llnwd.net/a591/o1/4-25-08Bartels...

3) 90% of Americans would pay less taxes under Obama''s proposed tax plan compared to McCain''s.

This is according to the non-partisan Tax Policy Institute as reported by CNN: http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/11/news/economy/candidates...

People making under $112,000 a year in individual (not household) income would pay less taxes under Obama''s plan.

By contrast, John McCain''s tax cuts mostly benefit the top 10% of Americans. Under McCain''s plan, people making over 2.9 million dollars in individual annual income would get almost a million dollar tax break.

Conclusion: Countless millions of Americans vote Republican because they believe they''ll pay less taxes and that they''ll have their money spent more responsibly. As you can see, those beliefs are directly contradicted by the facts. Of course we can choose to ignore the facts and instead focus on which candidate is wearing a flag pin (you ever notice that Hillary and McCain don''t wear them? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vi5nbZvS9cg ) but I think we''re a smarter country than that.

Before I acknowledge John (I want to be a Kennedy) Kerry''s remarks, I would like to list all the things that his party has accomplished over the last two years,...... There you are.
When the Walmarts in this country, the schools, the churches, and the halls of congress, oh sorry the terrorists would never explode anything near the corruptive blabbering halls of congress, where their best friends reside, the democrats, people in this country will say, at least George Bush fought them on their ground. The Osama Obama plan to defeat terrorism and improve the is to fight them on our ground. Good plan ecomomically, won''t have to spend so much money on transporting men and material to war zone. Nor will we have to spend money keeping them in jail or trying them, we can''t offend the people who want to destroy us, by putting them in jail.

"And multiple devices that could be used in a nuclear weapon.

The AP does not say alleged nuclear program. It does not add "according to military experts." It simply says "Saddam Hussein''''''''s nuclear program."

Posted by Barocalto at 02:14 PM : Jul 07, 2008"

What the AP also did not say is "And multiple devices that could be used in a nuclear weapon.", that part was added by right wing blogger Randall Hoven. The AP article notes that "the military withdrew four devices for controlled radiation exposure from the former nuclear complex".

Manipulating an AP story to make a point....sad.

"July 6, 2008, the Associated Press reports that Saddam Hussein had a nuclear program

Posted by Barocalto at 02:07 PM : Jul 07, 2008"

Yes, everyone knows that. We destroyed it in 1991 and it was never reconstituted. Iraq had tons of yellow cake, they had it before the FIRST gulf war and never got any more. They did NOT have "multiple devices that could be used in a nuclear weapon", they had a nuclear program that the US knew about and monitored after 1991.

The only thing new here is that the US got the yellow cake out of Iraq under cover. Any implication that we somehow "found the smoking gun" is simply false.

That''''''''s pretty big news, isn''''''''t it?

Actually it is old news. UN inspectors and the US knew about it before the war. UN was watching the facility until the war began. YAWN
