Comments on: Kerry: McCain's Judgment Is Dangerous
Says Republican Candidate Is A "Changed Man" For Siding With Bush On War, Economy, Energy
- Bill Clinton February 17, 1998
"If Saddam rejects peace, and we have to use force, our purpose is clear: We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq''s weapons of mass destruction program."
Madeleine Albright February 1, 1998 "We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and the security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction."
Jay Rockefeller October 10, 2002
"There was unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years. We also should remember that we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." - Reply to this comment
- Ted Kennedy September 27, 2002
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
Chuck Schumer October 10, 2002
"It is Hussein''s vigorous pursuit of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, and his present and future potential support for terrorist acts and organizations that make him a danger to the people of the united states."
Nancy Pelosi December 16, 1998
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology, which is a threat to countries in the region, and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Reply to this comment
- Al Gore September 23, 2002
"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
Johnny Edwards February 6, 2003
"The question is whether we''re going to allow this man who''s been developing weapons of mass destruction continue to develop weapons of mass destruction, get nuclear capability and get to the place where -- if we''re going to stop him if he invades a country around him -- it''ll cost millions of lives as opposed to thousands of lives."
Bill Clinton February 17, 1998
"We have to defend our future from these predators of the 21st Century.... They will be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen. There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein". - Reply to this comment
- John Kerry February 23, 1998
"Saddam Hussein has already used these weapons and has made it clear that he has the intent to continue to try, by virtue of his duplicity and secrecy, to continue to do so. That is a threat to the stability of the Middle East. It is a threat with respect to the potential of terrorist activities on a global basis. It is a threat even to regions near but not exactly in the Middle East - Reply to this comment

That was from 20 years ago. We''ve known about it ever since then. Bush freaked out over the metal pipes that were found. - Reply to this comment
- Reading from a declassified portion of a report by the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit, Santorum said: "Since 2003, coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent. Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq''s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist."

- But today, on July 6, 2008, the Associated Press reports that
Saddam Hussein had a nuclear program
At the Tuwaitha nuclear complex just south of Baghdad
Which included 550 metric tons (over 1.2 million pounds) of "yellowcake", or concentrated uranium
And multiple devices that could be used in a nuclear weapon.
The AP does not say alleged nuclear program. It does not add "according to military experts." It simply says "Saddam Hussein''''''''''''''''s nuclear program." - Reply to this comment

- I grow tired of the constant complaining by bloggers of the Bush/Cheney era. There really is no intellectual value in it and it doesn''t pursuade me to vote for Obama. Obama needs to join McCain and accept the offers from the Reagan and Johnson libraries. I need to see the both of them toe to toe, not surrogate to surrogate, not blogger to blogger, discussing the issues.

- Republicans say McCain has more EXPERIENCE than OBAMA, so that%u2019s makes him more capable of running the country.
If this is true why is the US in the state it is in.
The Bush Administration is the most EXPERIENCED administration in years.
Cheney, Colin Powell, Rumsfield, Wolfewitz, and many other wilt tons of government EXPERIENCE.
PLUS, Dub%u2019Ya had his Dad and his friends to lean on also (Jim Baker, etc)
Obviously, EXPERIENCE doesn%u2019t mean SQUAT!!!
I%u2019d rather have someone that%u2019s Intelligent, has street smarts, logical, caring, is a proven manager and administrator in the Whitehouse.
What kind of Executive, Management, Administrative experience has McBush has other than running his Senatorial Office and balancing his wife check book.
The BEST person for AMERICA right now in BARACK OBAMA.
Vote OBAMA!

- Since Obama has fliped floped to back McCains position on being in Iraq until the job is done, is Obama''''s judgement in question also? Posted by cbk16

Obama has NEVER said he bach McShame''s plan. Obama has always said troop withdrawal over 16 months. The only issue up in the air is how many advisors/trainers, etc to leave in the country.
But, the US footprint is going to get smaller fast.
Then we can go back to real Terrorism the smart way. - Reply to this comment
