Noble thoughts but not what the constitution says. It clearly states that if a govt is not giving the people the leadership it wants, then the people not, only have the right to overthrow the govt but also the duty to do so. Blind loyalty is not expected. Loyalty when a govt leads it people where it wants it to take them, yes.

Our Founding Fathers covered a wide spectrum of political beliefs.

Through cooperation they gave us a great nation. It was a nation founded on the Declaration of Independence and later the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights. They are still great documents, a model for true democracies around the world.

Political carping and extremism is the fastest way to destroy these foundations.

In January we will have a new President. Whoever wins deserves our support and not closed-minded hatred.

Yes, this most precious of documents, which our Founding Fathers bet their lives on, and which guarantees our freedoms and liberties -

is derided as a "G.D. piece of paper" by George W. Bush.

"I want to be greedy" is the mindset Barack used to describe his campaign strategy. If McCain''s handlers are desperate to find a way for him to get energized about something which matters to us such that his ''maverick''ness will have a purpose, he ought to contrast his ''I would rather lose an election than lose a war'' and extend it to say that he would rather lose an election than not do everything he can to save the country to despotism.

If he runs against the idea that blanket party majorities of either party are bad, he''ll be able to push up against the Democratic Congress now and if he becomes President, and he gives the GOP a sense of new purpose at a time when we all think they''re tainted dog food. The numbers show Dems controlling the higher offices have the worst record of economic growth - he needs to show that the Dems won''t be any better if they get free reign to be ''greedy'' about power.

Otherwise the rebel without a clue constantly showing contempt for the right just gets annoying, and the flip-flopping makes him look desperate and unprincipled. And given how badly damaged the GOP brand is, Barack''s got the room to flip-flop and look unprincipled and still come out on top doesn''t he?
