While Republicans Face Costly Losses In "Safe" Districts, Cuomo Deconstructs Voter Ire

- Crist is right on the money. Republicans have lost sight of what it really means to be conservative. There is nothing conservative about fascist neocons, other than the name. They have done this to themselves, and it''s gotten so bad, the historically Republican voters would rather see socialist liberals running the country. What Crist misses though, is that he is also a fascist neocon. All of them are so out of touch with their voters, that they will continue to do politically suicidal things -- like passing insane marijuana bills that will fill up our prisons with non-violent offenders, and kill more people like Rachel Hoffman, for instance. If they would just listen to the people, instead of allowing themselves to be blackmailed by powerful campaign contributors and money-hungry cops, they might be able to prevent the death of the party of Barry Goldwater.

- The Democrats are likely to win the White House and have huge majorities in both houses of Congress. The last time this happened, 1964, required only four years to tear themselves apart.

- The Republican Party will get what it deserves for not following the will of the people. Republicans forgot that this is a democratic nation and not an Aristocracy. They fooled themselves into thinking that the majority of Americans were too busy working or raising their family''s to be bothered with getting involved in the political process. That miscalculation will cost them dearly for years to come. I for one will never vote for a Republican again. They have pushed this country to the brink of moral and financial bankruptcy, only to fill the coffers of their big business backers.

- Folks,
Republican President Bush is the greatest president for the Democratic Party.
I ask all NeoCons to continue to Write, Think and Do exactly what they have been doing for the past 13 years. PLEASE! POR FAVOR! I AM BEGGING YOU! - Reply to this comment
- Folks,
McBush, ooops sorry McCain, is a War Hero just like John Kerry.
Therefore, McCain can easily lose in Nov-2008 against someone who never been in the military like Obama or Clinton or Bush who gladly cannot run again. - Reply to this comment

- 50 years from now, that is if the far right end of the world psychos are wrong and the world is still here, George Bush and the far right end of the world psychos will be viewed as the destroyers of the Republican Party. Greed, lies, a lust for power, and trade laws that redefine taking advantage of the least of our brother have erased all the convulsing and praising of the Lord these lovers of money have ever done.

We''re all sinners, but these guys may have traveled into a realm that can only be described by the story in the Bible of Lazurus and the Rich Man. Ten million years from now, I hope dominating their fellow man for 30 or 40 years and having lots of pieces of paper stained with ink was worth it for some of them. - Reply to this comment
- You''re right, Jester, but Unions aren''t strong enough, nor do they trust other union factions, trades and regions. AFL-CIO breaking apart isn''t due to Clintonomics, distrust and emnity is the weakening them and trust in Reagan, CLinton and Bush has killed any protestations about fleeting capital, equiptment and jobs.

I agree completely, but I do stand corrected on his status as a war hero. I asked, and someone answered fair and square with the facts. But, that doesn''t mean that the thought of another Bush term in the form of McBush... McCain doesn''t make me cringe. I learned today that he is literally one of the Keating 5 - did not know that. Woopsy. I saw a hilarious YouTube video about him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEtZlR3zp4c

- Ahhhh - OK. Fair enough. Thanks for the info. I respect that McCain is a war hero, but that doesn''''t mean I agree with his policies which are essentially a repeat of the Bush/Cheney policies.

- Republican lawmakers have spent the last 8 years standing behind Bush and *** to the majority of voters. The losses in 2006 should have been a wakeup call but those that remained dug their heels in and continued to obstruct the will of the people. This November the GOP is toast, let''s hope the Democrats get a filibuster proof majority.

- John McCain let other POW''''s go free before him. He chose to stay in hell rather than be released when he had the opportunity. He did this partly because his father was a high ranking officer and he didn''''t want to give the North Vietnamese a propaganda victory. He is a very brave man. Much, much different from Bush and Cheney in that respect.
His policies though, are very similar to Bush/Cheney in many important ways and he should not become president. Truthfully, a vote for John McCain is a vote for a Bush third term.

- jesterbelle, How would unions be a better form of Government? The UK, Australia, New Zealand and a few other countries have Labor (union-run party) governments. They all have higher inflation, higher taxation, higher unemployment and more intrusions into your life than the US. As well, unions can more corrupt than governments. Remember Jimmy Hoffa?
