This article is nothing more than help to John Edwards, by CBS specifically, to remind Hillary that John Edwards and CBS would like you to consider him for vice president.

Rowdy Texan writes "Who gives a rap how she gets in....the point is to keep Obama out! Good God the man just keeps getting deeper and deeper in Ishlamofascist corruption. " 1. The same mentality was used by Karl Rove (dirty politics)and I''ll have absolutely NOTHING to do with subverting democracy again. I would really hope if you care about HRC that you would respect her enough to not wish for dirty politics either. 2. Define "islamofascist corruption". This term really only exists on certain right-wing media news channels like Faux News and freepers web site/clones. Islam and fascism (the merger of corporate and govt power) have nothing in common. If you want to brush up on fascism, read http://www.rense.com/general37/char.htm

obama only cares about the black vote (like 99% white Kansas and Iowa that voted for him by a landslide)and THE people who don''''t have a clue about how empty he is as a candidate (i.e., young people (young people want a change from "old school politics" having been sickened by 8 years of it) and elite (how does being born half black/white to a single mom who barely had enough money to put her kid in college make him "elite"?!! this is the biggest media joke of the season) who have nothing to lose regardless of who''''s in the whtie house); hillary is the only one who really cares about ALL the people). CLINTON ''''08!!! NO QUARTER! I don''t doubt that Hillary cares about the people, but her activity lately makes it look like she only cares about her own career, and the frequent changes of campaign theme kind of make her look fake. Honestly, it''s really turning off a lot of us. Still, if she gets the nomination, I''ll vote for her anyway.

"Barack has 16.7 millions popular votes. Hillary has 16.6 million. If a write in campaign kicked off, OBAMA doesn''''''''t have a prayer in NOVEMBER." **** I''''ll vote for either Dem candidate since their policies are 95% exactly the same, however, how do you propose overcoming the fact that DELEGATE votes are what decides the primary (as all GOP and Dem candidates agreed on before running). Popular vote will mean about as much as it did for Al Gore in 2000. You''''d have better luck trying to convince the Supreme Court to stage another coup like they did in 2000 and "select" Hillary in ''''08. Worth a try I suppose....

"Bittergate" was one of those moments where somebody says something stupid and it gets taken out of context and blown into a mushroom cloud, like McCain''s "100 years in Iraq" or Hillary''s "hard working white voters" oops.

Well, if you feel that strongly against him, I guess you are going with the GOP choice. Again, other than style, there isn''t a whole lot of difference between the two candidates. Compare their "issues" web pages if you don''t believe me. And I really hope you are above the whole "guilt by association" media circus in choosing your candidate because all 3 miserably fail this test and it''s really pretty unamerican of a standard anyway.

obama has already done a fine job of dividing the democratic party . . .ever since bittergate, it''s been crash and burn for him (he thinks he has momentum but he''s sadly mistaken). how dare he write off kentucky and west virginia? how dare he?

BTW, assuming the cries for "Clinton for Independent" are legit, just know that Republicans are posing as Dems trying to get such a movement going for reasons that I just explained. It''s really about the only hope they have in ''08 - dividing the Democratic Party. On the bright side, I see the Libertarian party candidates (Barr) is making the news. This might pull away genuine conservative voters from McCain, along with the 25% of Ron Paul fans that keep voting for him despite McCain''s "presumptive nominee" status. Nope, unity is the name of the game boys and girls. Hold your nose, go to the polls and pull the lever for whichever Dem candidate gets the nod, or suffer 4+ more years of neocon rule/Bush policies. It''s really that simple. The system will not allow a third party to win yet. Probably never will.

"Clinton for president as an independent!" BAD idea. Clinton as independent = split Dem vote = McCain in office for 4 years = neocons stay in power = same ol'' same ol'' that we''ve seen the past 8 years.

I''m back. "What if half the country just up and refused to participate until there was change?" But how would you communicate such a plan to such a wide audience assuming we could get even 30% of the nation to not only agree on something but to be willing to sacrifice for a principle. You would never get any sort of media cooperation outside of the Internet and even that would probably be censored if the "powers that be" felt threatened. BTW, I LOVE your idea of 2 year term limits. Doubt we''ll ever see that but it would certainly solve some issues.

We need a president like Hillary who wouldn''t quit. I''ll vote for her regardless of what party she is in.

Clinton for president as an independent! After the way the Democratic Party has treated her, I will never support them again.

It''s easy to understand how you feel. Try to look at it like this. Blacks in America are blinded by the fact that a Black man actually had a real shot. The MYSPACE generation is just looking to make it''s voice heard, change business as usual in Washington by bringing something new, and to establish themselves in the party. This type of thing is not new in our party. Once again, a "newbie" will have to screw up to demonstrate that there is no substitute for experience in politics.

let''''s face it ... if Clinton wins BIG in West Virginia and Kentucky she can win the White House as an Independent!
Hillary ''''08 ... in to win!

Precisely why we DEMS have to find the compromise. Barack has 16.7 millions popular votes. Hillary has 16.6 million. If a write in campaign kicked off, OBAMA doesn''t have a prayer in NOVEMBER. The OBAMA nation would do well to show a little more tact towards Clinton supporters.

I think that chicken doesn''''t realize how really thin the race-card has been worn. I live in Kansas and Obama won 75pct of the primary/caucus here. Kansas is pretty lily white, and probably 80pct of that 75pct were white Americans, mid-westerners, voting for Obama. White Americans, other than the few real racists left, don''''t care about what color a candidate is, we care about the content of his character. I think Martin Luther King''''s dream has been realized.

Everybody''s STILL screaming RACISM. I don''t think it''s as big a factor (among whites) as it''s been made out to be. There was no politically correct way for HILLARY to make her point without ruffling feathers. She has strong support in a certain sector of white voters. To say they are ALL RACIST is absurd.

IT''S ABOUT TIME SOMEBODY REALLY STARTED TALKING ABOUT REAL ALTERNATIVES AND REVOLTING AGAINST THE FEDERAL RESERVE (PRIVATE) COLLECTION AGENCY COMMONLY THOUGHT OF AS THE IRS. WHEN DEALING WITH CRIMINALS, LOCK THE *** UP IN PRISON WHERE THEY BELONG; AND THIS INCLUDES HILLARY AND WEE WILLIE TOO!
