Democrat Jack Reed Says Iraqi Government Will Not Move Forward Without A Timetable For U.S. Withdrawal
- Both of the Dmocratic matra''s is "I''m going to be quiet ( or absent) , but I am not going away") This is not what a Presidential candidate represents. Records that show they lied about their experiance is another reason we cannot trust either one of them. Fools make foolish choices. A path out of Iraq calls for someone with trusting experiance.

Well IF you weren''t such a bootlicker and had the basic ability to reason you''d figure out that a LOT more agree. I guess the only time your "Liberal''s are to blame" line will come home to be STUPID is on election day huh Sparky? I really wonder sometimes thought... do you losers REALLY know the meaning of the Word. I know your brain has told you that "liberal''s" are the group you need to put all who don''t agree with you in but have you actually EVER looked up the meaning of the Word? - the Iraqis have BILLIONS in oil revenue stashed,,,enough to pay their military well, and keep them loyal. It''s their country, give it back to them and get us the Hell out ASAP. It''s as simple as that. And after Bush is out of office, draft him to go over there and make it happen. Oh wait....that would take 6 years..too long...send someone else.

- you know a definition of insane is to do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result but getting the same result all the time? skyk and mcvet post here day after day after day and get the same result....nothing accomplished. wonder if they are insane?

Now IF you will put away your hatred for "liberals" for a minute and actually LISTEN to people you might learn something. The reason I come on day after day and tell people about the incompetence of Bush is simply that HE refuses to do his JOB, which is to represent the PEOPLE. The reason I continue to point out the failures of Bush is because HE never changes. Now the question is why do YOU people who call those of us who have been right about him from day ONE... why would you call US insane?? - Reply to this comment

Like you said, he''''s been posting the SAME garbage every day for years on this board...and its still just as stupid as it was day 1.

EITHER you can''t read or you don''t care. Sarge is right on the mark with these people. For years now they have been shouting down people who won''t agree with them, calling anyone who''s idea or beliefs they do not like, LIBERAL and putting them in a box. Even you refuse to address the issue he raises, instead acting like you were instructed by some idiot on the radio. America can not be divided up into little groups, some we like some we hate. That never worked during McCarty and doesn''t work today. - Reply to this comment

- Nothing will change in Irag until Republicans are no longer in power. Both parties are to blame for the initial invasion but the Republicans have extended the duration of the conflict with no end in sight. For those of you whom think McCain is the answer you can expect 4 more years of the same policies with the possibility on increased conflicts with Iran.If this is what you want and believe go for it!!

Morning Sarge. Semper Fi. I do not pretend to know all here and certainly wouldn''t have a solution that is some magic bullet but what you say is more true than any statement I''ve heard today. This nation couldn''t win a game of cribbage unless united. FDR, after the attack from Japan, sucked it up and invited those who had fought him so hard with the supply of weapons to England, brought them into his office and said I''m here to listen to YOUR ideas and YOUR views. NEVER during that massive struggle did he EVER say "your either with us or against us". Statements like that are not just arrogant and stupid, they do not allow for views and opinions that differ from your own. The secret to winning at anything is the Enemy not knowing what you intend on doing next. A six year old can read and figure Bush/Cheney out. - Reply to this comment
- We seem to be "Pontifying" more-unfortunately-now! We are capable and we can turn around the economy in reasonably short time. And yes we CAN FINISH the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, and any-where else the evil-serpeant raises its head-in a short time, AND MOVE ON!
We just need our WILL TO DO IT. The f=a=h-r-t-i-n-g and Serving Rice-Pudding won''''t

Our greatest weapon and our greatest advantage has always been our ability to bring people and nations together in a common goal. George Bush and D!ck Cheney trashed that ability. Trying to defeat "Terrorist" in the middle east without the help of the PEOPLE in that region is a rediculous effort. Worse is marching into a Country, taking it over and start dictating to those people how they will govern themselves. THAT is our major problem and our biggest failure. We change leadership and turn our backs of FASCISM again we can and will move forward. Our biggest error? Having to full blown Southern Fascist in control when those buildings went down. That is the problem!

You are right, that''s why they had to kick your azz in vietnam to make you understand. That''s what''s going to end up happening in Iraq as well. Good proverb, but it''s for intelligent rational people that know their history and don''t want to repeat the mistakes, not you. - Reply to this comment
- Thought Bill Maher put it really well:
"Winning the War on Terror comes down to this: what will make us safer from pissed off Arab teenagers who are willing to die? There are a number of good answers to that question, but occupying their land for the next 100 years is not one of them." - Reply to this comment

So, since we are the ones who lied and invaded their country, in essence we are the evil doers. Should they talk to us? - Reply to this comment
- "...We are capable and we can turn around the economy in reasonably short time." Posted by dumbshun
Oh, the fantasies of youth. Study the current situation, you will discover that the current economic emergency is a direct result of the criminal embezzlement of our treasury by the war profiteers, and the decimation of the middle class because of "globalization". These problems cannot be reversed, quickly, or even slowly, unless you are bad enough to fight the multinationals with the same will that you fight poor people who haven''t attacked you
"And yes we CAN FINISH the war in Iraq," Posted by dumbshun
It was finished before it started, all we need do now is get out.
"and Afghanistan, and any-where else the evil-serpeant raises its head-in a short time, AND MOVE ON!" Posted by dumbshun
Again, only evil if you deny those people the right to resist US occupation. Oh, and move on to what, the next fake war?

Ask any Native American what a treaty means. Ask the torture supporters what the treaty called the Geneva Convention means.
"Just as Chamberlain signed a peace treaty with Adolf Hitler in the late 30''s?" Posted by dumbshun
Our current foreign police more resembles Hitler''s than does Iraq''s, including anti Semite genocide. Why should anyone sign a treaty with people who have proven throughout their history that they will violate any treaty that hinders their profit agenda? - Reply to this comment
- "...am afraid "Eternal Peace is a long way away!It ain''''t going to come any sooner by someone making glib talks of "Imagine" and "dream, dream". Till then, I am afraid, there will be wars, and we do need to protect our freedom, safegaurd and take appropriate action against any threats to it." Posted by dumbshun
The flaw in this statement is that we are killing people who were no threat to us. Our "freedoms" are threatened far more by those who presume themselves to abrogate our constitution, violate our own, and international laws for the sake off profit, and nothing else. This is the threat that we need to be taking action against, not some country halfway around the world that didn''t attack, or threaten us.
As for "there will always be wars" this is true, but only an idiot makes unnecessary wars, as this one is.
There will also always be rape, slavery, and many other inhumanities, but does that excuse any of us committing them for no real reason? - Reply to this comment
- "It is not a question of Ego-mania. It is a question of doing it right." Posted by dumbshun
Doing what right? We went in wrong, how can we come out right?
Let whoever gloat, it means nothing, if they do decide to really attack us, we can easily stop them.
If they say "they ran us out", I couldn''t care less, those are only words, and it is better they say that than "we collapsed their economy, and thus have defeated them forever, their country no longer exists."
If you think that the US economy can afford to continue on this current path, you will indeed be surprised, they will "win" anyway, and their victory will be final as far as we are concerned. - Reply to this comment
- "Should Communists be our "Buddies"? Should "Al Qaida and their fellow Jihadis be Our Friends?" Posted by dumbshun
If you choose your friends based on the type of government they live under, rather than the content of their character, you are a victim of your own prejudice. I have many friends who just so happen to live in communist countries, and that fact never stood in the way of a positive mutual friendship. A large portion of the world lives under communism, this is their own circumstance, if they want to change that, they will, sooner or later, if they don''t, it is not our right to force it.
As for Al Qaeda, it is nothing more than a database of CIA operatives, used to smuggle arms, and encourage instability on behalf of the US, originally in Afghanistan during their war against Russia. Google it, there is unimpeachable documentation. They are, in fact the CIA''s "friends". as for the groups affiliated with them, they are unwitting pawns in the CIA''s game, and so are also "friends" of the CIA.
Don''t let Bush think for you, he has proven that he cannot even think for himself. - Reply to this comment
