- H. Clinton is right in principle: Congress can stop the war in Iraq by refusing to fund it. They declared it and they continue to fund it. It is good to see someone in Congress who gets it.
In practice, her suggestion deserves to be rejected, unless, like Obama (the real man of principle), she tells us that she will accept the loss of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis at a time when civilian losses have decreased and will accept the domination of Iraq by other regional states. She also ought to say under what circumstances she would send troops back to Iraq, if a withdrawal produced chaos.
