Well, she's obviously responding to Obama.

But fact of the matter is, republicans are afraid of pakistan. They treat it like fine china. Which is maybe Obama's point.

Iraq is a presidentially personal, unrelated war. That, at least according to most people, had nothing to do with terrorism. And yet nearly 200,000 of our troops are commited there! In a nationbuilding effort!

But why are republicans afraid of pakistan? Because they're a nuclear power? Makes obvious that nuclear arms make the difference between who Rice talks to, and who Rice doesn't.

We have 2 war fronts now. In Iraq we are fighting mostly Iraqi nationals who want us out of their country and a relatively small but significant percentage of Al Quaeda grunts sent there and directed by the leadership in Afghanistan/Pakastan which is really one front.

When we went into Afghanistan, virtually all Americans supported the effort because we were going after the real enemy, the group who attacked us and their state sponser. When we went into Iraq we had much less support because Al Quaeda and the Taliban weren't initially there. It was the wrong battlefield.

Now the group who attacked us and their state sponser are reconfiguring themselves and attacking our troops in sovereign ally Afghanistan from an area of Pakastan not under the control of their government.

If the northern provinces of Pakastan were truly part of soverign Pakastan then Pakastan could demonstrate their soveriegnty by exercising control over them. That's not been the case.

Hillary and the Republican candidates have all slammed Obama for saying that if we knew where AQ was he would give Pakastan the chance to act and only act if they didn't. They all claim they would do the same thing but don't want to talk about it.

Condi has taken it further. She won't go after AQ even if the Pakastanis don't. Is it any wonder that he still roams free to plan the next attack?

it shows that this whole anti-terrorism thing is a joke. Just like catching the perpertrators of 9-11 *bin laden*. Our money, jobs and support are pouring into this country and yet they still show support/protection for terrorist.
Why is our government providing more for this countries people than they do their own? I was appalled when our jobs went there and the hypocrasy of sentiment towards our own citizens *abortion,terrorism,unemployment,womens rights etc... why were we rewarding a country that was found culpable by the 9-11 commission?
They riot AGAINST america even today!
I just am fed up at the sale of america to the highest profit areas - supported by the tax dollars I work for.
