Conn. Senator Says The U.S. Should Strike If Tehran Keeps Helping Anti-U.S. Forces In Iraq
- Bravo Joe, to fight Iran bring the draft. Are you in favor of the draft senator ?
These blood thirsty people have blood of 700,000 Iraqis & 3500 troops on their hands. Countless people who lost limbs and thousands of our brave soldiers who lost their limbs, some are living vegetables on the bed with a tube in and tube out. It is time to get rid of these war drumming people.
So called Iran trained terrorists would not have gotten there had our troops not invaded Iraq on false information in the first place. Are you, Prez, VP, Rich@rd Pearl & Armitage ready for war crime tribunal ? Better be ready for 700,000 innocent Iraqi civilian deaths. World is watching. Or do you want to match the numbers with Rwanda(800,000) and former Yugoslavia( 1,000,000) ? by bombing Iran ? - Reply to this comment

- I'll start, Does anyone reading this know anyone in management on any of the broadcast networks? Names and contact info is what we need, then we organize a coherent communication with them.
Second, does anyone know anyone working in program development? We could pitch our version of "Face the Nation" where the supporters are really asked the hard questions that we pose on this site, the networks seem to be a bit reluctant to anger the politicos, but if we produce it ourselves, they can always disclaim.
These are just ideas, anyone else care to chip in? - Reply to this comment
- Like 99.9% of our government leaders, Lieberman does not have one son, daughter, niece or nephew serving in the military. Its so much easier to commit other people's children to killing other people's children than it is to sacrifice your own. It's very easy for the elite corps of aristocrats to advocate war as they sit safely in their mansions perusing their portfolios. Right Junior?

- Thanks and it is refreshing. Its time somebody stands up for the simple GI. I am in Iraq and yes, Iran is supporting the insurgency cause. A suggestion to those of you who don't believe I ask you to simply ask any returning veteran who's who as they surely know. In fact, don't we still have a few Iranians in detention from northern Iraq. Oh yeah, listening to the bunch of you, naw, that can't be so. Well, brother, I can attest they are still in detention. From Iraq I say, support us and you will see the logic in victory not just for the good ole USA, but the simple good citizens of Iraq.

- C'mon guys, we knew of the corruption long ago. we knew Bush will sacrifice the lives of US soldiers for his own enrichment, we knew Liberman is a part of the problem, not the solution, we know, we know.
Time to start dealing with how do we stop these nuts before too many more innocents die. If we only discuss on these chats, but don't follow with our own actions, we too are part of the problem.
How about using this network to consolidate our relations with the media, and make public service announcements? We are at this point preaching to the choir, now lets turn it outward.
Any ideas? - Reply to this comment

- Way to go Liberman. We all know you can negotiate untill your blue in the face but without the threat of killing a few people and breaking some things the Iranians will play that game to the end of time. While they accelaerate their nuclear weapons programm. I personaly favor fair warning. Send the Iranians the target list and the date of attack. We can take out anything they have even after we warn them. Perhaps if the Iranian people beleived an eminent strike was upon them they would over throw their government. Some of you would love to throw us blue dogs out of the party but that would give the majority to the Republicans. So think about it you need us more than we need you.

- Strange how the media let's nutcases say we should kill people, allow them to be Senators in Government, and think nothing of it. Lieberman should be locked up..along with others who advocate occupation of other peoples land, and kill their people.

- Oh yeah, that's helpful Lieberman. Looks like once again you are showing your true nature. Why don't you join the republican right?
Afraid to be seen as such? Well, it's as obvious as the scowl on your face. - Reply to this comment
- Holy Joe is big on granting amnesty to people who have come to america illegally to do the jobs americans won't do. I wonder what holy Joe's opinion would be on removing some of the walls and physical barriers of Israel allowing palestinians to come to Israel across the border to do the jobs Israelis won't do?

- Dear Mr. Lieberman:
You are irrelevant, so PLEASE SHUT THE FLUKE UP! - Reply to this comment
- You go holy Joe. You support war even if it's based on lies because holy Joe, you have your own agenda and it isn't the agenda that protects the interests of americans and our founding principles. It's an agenda that puts americans to war to fight a war for your illusive constituents who count their money and fund you to promote these holy wars.
It was interesting that when I wrote holy Joe's office I got a form letter saying that holy Joe serves his constituents of the state of Connecticut but it seems his interest if foreign policy is affecting more americans outside of Connecticut than the bean counters of his state. - Reply to this comment
- Lars: you said in a previous post:
"Iran is secretly forging ties with al-Qaida elements and Sunni Arab militias in Iraq in preparation for a summer showdown with coalition forces intended to tip a wavering US Congress into voting for full military withdrawal, US officials say."
.........
Well, news reports this morning that the U.S. commanders in the field in Iraq are also 'forging ties' by giving money and arms to the Sunni Arab militias in hopes (pipe-dream hopes) that they will fight Al-Qaida terrorists within Iraq!
Now this has totally gotten ridiculous! OUR TROOPS WILL BE KILLED WITH THEIR OWN WEAPONS! (Provided by our own government)!
Now, it would be easier for Bush to just go over to Walter Reid Med Center and just pull the plug on the injured troops at that hospital if he really wants them dead. But no, he'd rather do it through the 'back door' by ensuring the military commanders are the ones who are last to hold the 'hot potato'.
So that proves one thing.....

- Since East Jerusalem was annexed in 1967, the government of Israel%u2019s primary goal in Jerusalem has been to create a demographic and geographic situation that will thwart any future attempt to challenge Israeli sovereignty over the city. To achieve this goal, the government has been taking actions to increase the number of Jews, and reduce the number of Palestinians, living in the city.
At the end of 2005, the population of Jerusalem stood at 723,700: 482,500 Jews (67 percent) and 241,200 Palestinians (33 percent). About 58 percent of the residents live on land that was annexed in 1967 (45 percent of whom are Jews, and 55 percent Palestinians). With the Palestinians having a higher growth rate than the Jews, Israel has used various methods to achieve its goal:
Physically isolating East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank, in part by building the separation barrier;
Discriminating in land expropriation, planning, and building, and demolition of houses;
Revoking residency and social benefits of Palestinians who stay abroad for at least seven years, or who are unable to prove that their center of life is in Jerusalem;
Unfairly dividing the budget between the two parts of the city, with harmful effects on infrastructure and services in East Jerusalem.
Israel%u2019s policy gravely infringes the rights of residents of East Jerusalem and flagrantly breaches international law.

- "Anybody remember the tradgedy of WW2? Remember appeasement of Hitler? "Peace in our time"... "
Posted by sadtoread at 09:42 AM : Jun 11, 2007
I you want to compare with WW2, check who was the invader (in chief) in each case ...
Hitler used the Reichstag fire (his 911 if you wish) as a pretext get von Hindenburg et al passing an "enabling" act (aka known as "patriot" act nowadays) giving him full powers to protect his people from the "communist conspiracy".
Hitler invaded Bohemia to "protect" german minorities living there. He then invaded Poland, France, etc ...
Which country did Iran invade ? Did Iraq invade the US ? Had they anything to do with Al Qaeda ?
(Remember: Al Qaeda is sunni, most of its members are saoudis ...).
I see only a few invaders this time and their names are Bush, Cheney. - Reply to this comment
- What an idiot! Every time he opens his mouth, he shows how what a lack of understanding he has for foreign policy and most domestic issues as well.

- Busher-man is little more than an Israeli agent. Does he ever do anything except think of what Israel and Bush want. That's all he ever talks about He should be in the Israel equivalent of congress as well as ours. Bombing the Helsinki out of Iraq has solved so many problems there. They all sit around thinking of ways to make Bible prophecy come true.
If our only options are to bomb everyone else back to the stoneage who doesn't do what we want then let's make that our stated policy and stop this nonsense of elections in the US. - Reply to this comment
